Are there still things like love scenes or relationship development scenes between Sakuta and Mai for the rest of episodes(vol2-vol5)? I'm just curious because she wouldn't be focal girl anymore.

I just finish reading vol 6-7... holy shit..... no wonder they want to made this a movie. Are they going to show "THAT" scene at the end of vol 5 to tease the movie. I know that Shouko went back to the past again near the end to erase Sakuta's memory of her so he won't have to suffer to choose between Shouko and Mai. Sakuta Still remember he meet "someone" on the beach that day but can't remember her name nor face. At the very end, i think it turn out Shouko eventually find a donor and recovered. When they bump into each other on the street, does Shouko remember Sakuta? I know rigth after Sakuta remember Shouko. Does that meant Sakuta defeated the mental block?

IIRC Sakuta&gang wanted to save little Shouko so they "went in the past" much deeper than previous times, even before events of the 1st volume.
The idea was to prepare the ground for Shouko-chan's rescue.
Author didn't clarify much about the process, but just showed the result.
They succeeded and the donor was found for Shouko-chan

At first they didn't remembered anything, but then partial hazy memories appeared.
They felt like they saw things in the dream.

Though Shouko remembered everything, moreover, even a number of possible futures.

As for what the gang did...
In vol.8 it was revealed that Mai had starred in the movie, where main heroine had been placed in the same predicament as Shouko-chan. Mai was still a child actor back then.
It affected public opinion on the matter of donorship and thus the donor for Shouko-chan appeared.

Btw, that movie wasn't present in previous timelines/simulations, so presently it's unclear what triggered its appearance.
There are hints that it's connected to a mysterious new character Kirishima Touko（霧島透子）

I recall they want to change the past but Shouko also mention she will go back and take care of everything. Did they both go back? The new timeline remain pretty much the same, even the $300 Sakuta used to get to Mai for her birthday. The only alteration would be the young Shouko never met Sakuta and Mai during that raining day at the end of volume 2. However, Shouko remember everything that happen in past, present and future? There is one more thing that bug me, P- Sakuta was fated to die on 12/24 when he is on route to his date with Mai. His heart being donated to was unintended side effect of him dying. He only survived because either Mai push him out of the way or F-Sakuta in bunny suit push P-Sakuta away. By changing the past, nearly the entire vol 7 got erased. Wouldn't Sakuta still be fated to die if he go to the same place or am I thinking too much? I didn't start vol 8 yet since i was reading till 3 am last night since 6-7 was so gripping.

judging from where the anime left off this week. I'm hoping they didn't go past the point in the novels with Mai in the bunny outfit again. Judging by the Facebook link with the illustrations it looks like there are 3 from novel 2 that are after what I saw in the episode. I need more bunny Mai in the anime even if its just one more scene!

-- There are two Shouko's:
Shouko-san with Sakuta's heart who wanted to save Sakuta by guiding him away from accident location
Shouko-san with Mai's heart (married to future Sakuta) who wanted to save both Sakuta and Mai by teaching him how to "go back in past"

Both "went in past of different timeline"

No new Shouko-san appeared after that

-- As for what events were changed, it's unknown, but considering that even short 1 day Koga Tomoe loops were a bit different from each other, I assume that quite a lot of things changed.

"Butterfly effect" and such stuff.

Author brushes it up with "but they retained some memories, so it's not that important" and also shows in vol.9 that whole gang would still be together even if the chain of events were completely different.

Also consider, that it's not even "going back to past" but just "stopping simulation".

Well Aniplex has the Mai bunny outfit figure available as a store preorder now, so it raises my hopes that we might get at least a subbed BD release of this series in america, I really love the characters and interactions its one of the more interesting adaptations iv seen in a long time even if a bit rushed. I also hope that maybe we might actually get a release of the movie as well, not expecting theatrical but maybe after its been out in japan they will stream it on crunchyroll or something.

Just finish vol 8-9

Volume 8 is a bit boring as no new troublesome effect come up. Did they ever explain why a new scar appear? The Young Mai almost felt like the "god" of the world. She have the power to Sakuta back from a better parallel work to his original world. The whole wedding paperwork was the key to let Mai remember Sakuta was so sweet. I think we can no longer call this Adolescence Syndrome as Sakuta's mother was the cause of the world forgetting Sakuta, beside Mai course XD) As for how that girl that exist in parallel world come into existent in prime world is a puzzle as she also remember Sakuta. Potential love rivial? Fububa and Kunimi better show up in the college chapter too...
