The first episode was the most random thing i have seen, especially the first part and the ending (quite creepy). They skipped the opening altogether in a similar fashion to the first episode of the first season (i hope they can come up with something as shocking as the opening of the 4th episode). A very enjoyable/random re-introduction, though i still need some subs in order to understand part of the jokes.

They kinda showed up, but they didn't have 'major' roles in the first episode. They might be more involved in future episodes.

Song - 9/10, strange... but in a good way.
Visuals - 3/10 Practically nothing, except a few seconds with fanart everywhere

First half - I despaired! The strangeness and oddness made me despair!!

Second half - Ah~, much better. This is the Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei I love. I kind of forgot that Nami never even had her profile shown... Because she's normal...

ED:
Song - 9/10, decent.
Visuals - *washes eyes* But I did see the relative of Nozomu's that the anime hasn't shown yet, and also Jun's rival.

I haven't watched it yet, but I've been told that the "odd" things in the first half of the episode are actually replicated exactly from the manga, panel by panel.
So perhaps they can escape via the "Follow the original way" road?

I don't think the first half was from the manga... I think I would remember something that weird and pointless.

One day, he got chased around as a traitor of HAMASHO@religion-he-didn't-believe-in. After barely escaping with his life, he arrived at the all-girls school in Ashizurimisaki in Southern Japan. Still, the scenes of the first half of that episode was so... weird..., Shaft took so much liberty exaggerating this already weird summary. BTW: is it me, but I really see Nozumu looks like Yu Gi Oh when the episode starts....
