Personally, I wouldn't get your hopes up. Season 2 ended with them letting us know perfectly that they were a trouble, all the while robbing us the satisfaction of a visible kiss. I'd like another season too, but I don't think it's going to happen with that anime ending.

I don't really read this series, but I just saw a copy yesterday in the bookstore and read the afterword. 13 is not the last volume.

Can anyone provide a summary starting from vol 11? I think the anime hasn't covered the parts from vol 11 afterwards

Anyway, to add on to larethian's explanation about volume 13, the author wrote in his postscript for volume 12 that volume 13 is the volume where the 'final boss' will appear, and possibly also be the climax of the entire series. However, the author also mentions that 'if possible, I would like to write until the 15th, 20th volume...', so you don't really know if 13 will be the last volume in the series.

Short summary of volume 11-12:

Yuuto's class goes on a class trip to Hokkaido, stopping at Shina's hometown on the way. During the school trip, Yuuto takes Haruka on a date, and among other things, visits Shina's home and meets her family. On the last night of the school trip, Yuuto, Haruka and Shina are in one of the rooms with their usual friends when the lights suddenly go off, directly resulting in Yuuto sharing a kiss with a girl. When the lights come back on, both Haruka and Shina are blushing furiously, so Yuuto really don't know who he kissed. Back at school, Haruka avoids him like the plague, while Shina takes the chance to confess her feelings to Yuuto. As guilty as he feels about Shina, Yuuto rejects her in the end. At the end of volume 12, Yuuto tries to confess his feelings to Haruka, but is interrupted.

That's about all I can remember, although I might have gotten the destination of their school trip wrong. Been reading ore no imouto and translating nogizaka volume 2 and seitokai no ichizon lately.

I just posted chapter 5 of NHnH a few days ago I'm actually working for once -_- Lol anyway I'm going overseas for the rest of the month (read: not gonna translate till march) so I'm officially on leave! I think I should concentrate more on nogizaka than the light novel blog, it's really depressing when the only comment you get is a public display of affection for people completely unrelated to yourself. At least I can feel good about the steadily increasing page views at nogizaka

Since I am one of those lurkers who checks out this (and other) light novel translations ... I have read vol 1 and seen the 2 seasons of the anime and read what manga chapters are available in English. In any event I am very grateful for any work you do with this project - please continue with it!

If the author is talking about the final boss that gets in the way of Yuuto and Haruka's relationship then I think it's Mika cause from what I could understand from vol 13, I think it focuses on Mika and her feelings when she's around Yuuto. Maybe I am wrong about this so I hope anyone can clarify this.

Haruka was the one Yuuto kissed, but for a whole volume he thought it was Shiina that he kissed. That got cleared up eventually, after Yuuto finally told Shiina he loves Haruka.

It's unknown who this 'Final Boss' is at the moment, as that was just one comment at the afterword section. Though judging from that word 'final' I tend to think the next volume is the last one... after all, what's left for plot material after the final boss?

was the accidental kiss their first kiss in the LN? The anime had several. RThe manga had a full view of them kissing at the end of volume 4. so i was just curious

also why was it that Yuuto thought it was Shiina that he kissed when from what i saw of the summary both Shiina and Haruka were acting the same way?

Yes, the accidental kiss was their first one in the novels.

And Yuuto thought it was Shiina first because there was a powercut and he couldn't see who he had kissed. When the lights came back on it was Shiina in front of him, and so he thought it was Shiina.

Vol13 is out in Chinese. The 'final boss' didn't really seem like it.

Mika brought Yuuto and Haruka closer than ever before, but she's conflicted about her own feelings towards Yuuto. She also confessed to Yuuto, but said it's a joke at the last moment before she was shot down like Shiina did last volume.

The main events this volume include a proper romantic date organised by Mika for Yuuto and Haruka, Yuuto taking Mika and her classmates to a theme park, Mika's birthday party and Mika forcing Yuuto to spend a day alone with her after the party.

Next volume seems like it will be out Winter 2011. Using Japan seasons, I'm guessing end of this year?
