The hexagonal border is interesting but what really grabbed my attention is that great image from one of my favorite animes.

GenjiChan 8/10 || I'm not really fond of avatars with this kind of loop. props though for making it AS safe. those are a lot of frames
MogMoogle1 8/10 || you should've used a fading effect when it loops. character taking the glasses off and on looks very weird
Hasumi 7.5/10 || simple but borderless (a good thing for my taste)
Skyni 6/10 || quality needs work and the focal looks deformed.

there are times that a border isn't really needed

Ganbaru 8/10, cute while having an eye-catching shape and border to make it seem organized. Slightly plain, though.
