Haruhi is different, since the author is simply lazy~ I own Haruhi too, and yeah that's not nice from the author as well/
However, in Baccano's case, the author is very prolific since he write several volumes every year, and Baccano is almost at its end, right in the middle of the climax arc (after this one, that require 2 more volumes to be finished there's only a "little" one remaining in 2003).
I don't think that would be asking that much to have one volume from baccano in that situation.

I don't know about Hakomari (I thought it was finished... Is that stalled in fact?) but I own other series that were interrupted without a word by the author, like Zarathustra e no kaidan or denpateki na kanojo for example. Which for Zarathustra for example is quite sad since it was interesting/ Still, this doesn't annoy me as much as baccano because none of them were in the middle of a climax arc when then stopped/ After buying more than 20 volumes, suddenly having the series put aside by the author a few volumes before the end is really frustrating.

Volume 7 is supposed to be the grand finale, but it's been two years since #6 came out and we haven't had any word that I'm aware of. The author also started a new series right after 6, but I'm not sure what the status is on that either.

Nope, it isn't going to be released. It has been on delay since last year. The next tentative release date is in May (and it's still not set in stone it seems). I think the manuscript has long been finished. There must be some issue right now that's kept under wraps. I hope it's not because of issues with Fujimi, especially since there's no sign of Alice as well. At any rate, tracking him, seems like Kagami is busy with Seraph right now (and hopefully the only reason behind the delays). Besides the manga and LN, he has also been busy with writing the Drama CD, undergoing interviews, and doing Q&As for Seraph.

Well since Kodansha LNs don't get featured in this thread , here's a heads up for Seraph LN 5 in the next month:

The design of the LN and manga arcs and release dates is interesting as it's planned to coincide with the manga tanks with the foreshadowing in the LN linking to the events in the manga at around the same 'time'. Meaning the info revealed from v5 of the LN will be linked to chapters in v8 of the manga. Waku waku!

AW18; Hataraku Maou-sama! 13; SAO Alt:GGO 3; StB 13; Horizon 8C; Zashiki Warashi 7!?; Zero no Maria 7!!!

I've been waiting to see Zero no Maria 7 for years now. The story will finally come to a close.

Kamachi.exe is running for 7 months in a row but to have Zashiki Warashi release two months in a row is quite shocking. Going by the synopsis, a rather big event is happening.

The teaser of this novel mentions Arion, which is also country name of the last antagonist from Rakuin no Monshou, another novel from the same author Tomonori Sugihara. He's also writing a new ln called Antihero Machiavellianism so there won't be any shortage of Watari Wataru after this. I'm suspecting this is the final volume of oregairu.
