I really loved this episode. All the necessary closure was given in ep 12 and this was just one that let's most characters loose and well, pretty much be themselves. Hands down, it was the best KyoAni show in a while and while a 2nd season would be welcomed, all the closure it had makes for a satisfying ending.
Amagi Brilliant Park was a pretty damn good anime and an even better one by KyoAni's recent standards. Their romance is still pretty damn weak and all of us Kanie & Isuzu shippers were only teased but it wasn't much a problem here though, since romance wasn't exactly Amagi's appeal(would've been a nice bonus though). At any rate, they took a few steps forward here, were bolder with their jokes, their characters and of course, the fanservice :P You may have found your way KyoAni, just don't revert to doing multiple moe girls being moe or guys with the personalities of moe girls being somewhat moe shows in a row. Assuming that can still be considered funny by some viewers, there's only so far it can get you, especially since even some of their fans were getting tired of it. |

Is it true the BDs aren't selling well? If so, that really stinks--I want another season so bad. It's hard for me to justify paying $60 or whatever for a BD given that my individual purchase would have little effect (and I don't really want the BDs), but I'd definitely contribute that amount to a crowdfunding campaign with an assurance contract (ala kickstarter or indiegogo).

Vallen Chaos Valiant is right about that. Right now, Kadokawa is using anime to promote the original light novels (except for a few titles, with mostly hailing from ASCII Media Works).
Of course, having 5,800+ copies sold according to blakstealth is decent. However, it's not guaranteed for Kyoto Animation to make Amagi Brilliant Park Season 2. |

this was a good series. had a confident MC that wouldn't take sh1t from other ppl, regardless if their girls (unless they had a gun to his face, thats understandable) and he wasn't another self-insert character for otaku's. the only thing i'm kinda meh about is the dues ex machina that happened with the princess being better and not losing her memories. that episode did make me a bit emotional, but that was on my mind the whole episode.
episode 13 was just to finish the cour i guess, it was really stupid, but amusing.

Basically, if you didn't like Episode 13, you probably shouldn't try out the light novels.

Yeah, the last episode albeit hilarious is proper to be OVA... or better, for Amagi Brilliant Park Fu-Moffle material
I almost spit my drink when Tiramie said the PV needs more libido.... oh and the horse giving birth

They might sell more in English-speaking regions if they were licensed and released there. There are still a lot of fans of Full Metal Panic! and I'm sure they'd be interested in something by the same author.
By the way, can someone explain something to me? In the 3rd episode's "swimsuit promotional video shoot" Kobory says "I'd like to see what the male (swimsuits) look like." Was that in the original light novel, or was that a reference Kyoto Animation added about their bestselling series "Free!"? I'm sure a lot of fans would like to see Kobory from Elementario meet the characters from "Free!". |
