Interestingly, there's nothing in the bible that says a sexual relationship between an adult and a child is "a sin."
........actually it doesn't mention the subject at all. Of course I don't think it's right-it's clearly wrong....but this is just a manga afterall.
To be honest, I could do without the bits that go a bit overboard (like the masturbation scenes weren't really necessary x_X) But the story is so gripping and the characters are so lovable (EXCEPT REIJI OMG O______________o;that I can overlook the ecchi things. SOME of them were necessary for the story anyway.

Just in case for anyone who didn't know or is Japanese-illiterate:
I checked Comic High's webpage and chapter 52 will be out this Saturday! Can't wait.

Umm... not to burst your bubble, but the reason the Bible doesn't say it's a sin is because so many of the "elders" did it. St. Augustine being one documented example (married to a 12 year old roman girl), and the ages of Rachel and some of the other old testament wives makes them sound completely or borderline "pedo".

The reality is, that you have to go to the Renaissance period before you begin to find this concept that there's something "wrong" about being with a girl as soon as she's "of age" - which often meant right after her first period. Given the short lifespans back then, and the tendency to having many children and dying in childbirth, it was a luxury to be able to wait until they felt like getting married.

Not to say that we should suddenly adopt those attitudes again, any more than we should reinstate slavery or child labor. Though you'll note that those things still exist today as well - just not in the "developed" world.

I didn't think the masturbation scene was overboard. It's rather normal for someone having a sexual awakening. What I did find overboard--because I had, uhm, reactions, even when I thought I've been desensitized from all the ecchi stuff--was the breastfeeding one a few chapters back. I do agree though that it's necessary for the story. That scene was animated in the latest OVA episode, and I found it toned down. Will recheck when the subs are out.

Kuro is VERY lonely, yes. I kinda felt bad for her. It would be great if her relationship with Aoki could evolve past "DOUTEI!!" *crotch kick and run away* In light of the hints in ch.52, I'm hopeful for them to draw closer to each other as teacher and student and get along.

It's just the manner that it was shown in the second and third time that squicked me a little. Especially the third time. I prefer things to be shown subtly (like in the bathroom the first time she did it.) But the shower scene kinda overdid it. Or maybe I just wasn't expecting it to be that blatant. It was the first time I saw a loli character pleasing herself...unless you count Hazuki from Yamibou....but I never thought of her as a loli...even if she is fourteen.
