Golden Kamuy Gets 3rd Original Video Anime With 19th Manga Volume

A new “Golden Kamuy” OAD focusing on the “Monster” arc will be bundled with the limited-edition 19th volume of the manga series; on sale September 19th.

There's a new interview with director Nanba Hitoshi about the upcoming Monster aka Oyabun/Hime OVA! In which he confirmed - like you can see in the trailer - that this time the bear will be handdrawn, not 3D CG 😁😁

I tend to think that will happen eventually - the series has been (surprisingly) successful commercially. I'm not even sure there's enough material for a full season yet.

I want a third season too, but in the meantime I'm happy we're getting some of the stuff we missed. The second OAD was hilarious. We even found out an interesting fact about Asirpa.

The third OAD came out in Japan and oddly enough it sold almost 20,000 copies (remembering that it came out with the new manga volume).

The series has a really strong fanbase.

Which arc was adapted in this OVA? The one with animal lover/fucker?

The 1st OVA is the Barato arc, Chapters 55-59.
The 2nd OVA is Shiraishi in Prison flashback and the Giant Snake, Chapters 83-85 and 104.
The 3rd OVA is the Gay Maffia Boss and his lover vs. The Bear, Chapters 63-69.

The 4th one adapts the Anehata Shiton aka "Animal Lover" stuff, Chapters 108-113 most likely. No rip yet, I guess.
