Not everybody would agree. From my personal experience with his works I think all he can do is shallow, 1-dimensional, emo characters. Well, I guess they are defined well if that's the kind of characters you like.

... but going back to PSYCHO-PASS. It's noitaminA - I'll check the opening episodes out regardless of whether its Urobuchi or not. Hell, I watched 7 or 8 episodes of GUILTY CROWN before finally giving up.

I just hope this show won't be a repeat of a few select 2011 series of noitaminA's. Y'know, starts off pretty decently (or awesomely at times, even), only to slowly go downhill from there and ultimately crash and burn BIG TIME for its ending. Please don't let that happen here.

most anime are like that it has good first episodes but bad last episode

and knowing Urobochi Gen this anime will have a joyful start then slowly going to have a lot of tragic deaths and ending with only few characters remaining

^That's true. And it's not like noitaminA is directly the one to blame, it's the fault of whatever respective studio and/or writer(s)... But I'm still cautious for cautiousness' sake. For now, anyway. :>

Three reveals:
- The first character art, which can also be seen on the official website: http://psycho-pass.com/ FANCY SEEING YOU HERE, HIBARI.
- Amano Akira (Katekyo Hitman Reborn!) is doing the character designs.
- Seki Tomokazu is part of the cast.

Poor male otaku! The staff are feeding the fujoshi before them with the upcoming Urobuchi reveal! :P

Looks cool! Seki is a good choice for the "cool male lead" thing they're going for here. A main character who looks like Spike doesn't hurt either!

Edit: According to the official site, Seki is playing Shinya Kougami, the main character.

Akira Amano's art being used for this is a definently plus for me since I think she's above most of the other artists currently running in JUMP. Definently has me more curious about the show.

Never would've thought Amono would ever have anything to do with noitaminA till now. I'm pretty okay with it though. Can't wait to see more character designs, including the females.

If the teaser PV this week is any indication, next week's character should be a female. You can see two of the other characters cut off at the very end as they're panning upwards, and the one closest to the main character's head looks like she has boobs and is in a skin tight suit of sorts. There are also various different gun designs flashed during the PV. They all look like sci-fi redesigns of existing guns. I'm pretty pumped!

Earlier today, Naoyoshi Shiotani (director of Blood+ OP3 and Blood-C The Last Dark) tweeted that people should pay attention to noitaminA today. His twitter profile also states that he's working on a new project right now. Could Psycho-Pass be a Naoyoshi Shiotani x Production IG series? That would be... really, really interesting visually.

I think I spotted three characters up there, though it's kinda hard to make it out. You can see what looks to be a foot on the left of the main character's head and something else(?) behind the skin tight women(might actually be suit if you stop the vid at the right moment and look really hard at his/her wrist). Man now I really want to see the full picture more than ever!

I haven't seen Reborn!, but I really fell in love with Amano's designs on Psycho-Pass. I thought Shinya (the MC) has cool looks, and I'm hoping there are cute females in this show too. Looks like it has Speed Grapher vibes, and I at least will most definitively watch this !

!!!!!!! Hype levels off the charts. That'd be one heck of a TV series directorial debut, and a well-deserved one at that. Wonder which one they'll announce first between director and scriptwriter (assuming they show a CM every week).

I am not a big fan of the character designer or it might just be I am not a fan of Reborn and in another series I'd like the designs more.
