Whee!

LLENN-chan was pretty brutal this week, hehehe.

Did you enjoy Pito's little rampage?

Did one of last two killed by Pito really complained about she is shooting at them when they were defenseless?
No really, just because it feels real, and they got too emotional for real.
Wouldn't these two just let the enemy team kill them and get it over with?

And what this bald guy trying to attack Fuka without any weapons in a situation like that, what is wrong with this player!!!?
This guy easily could have gotten famous killing this little grenade female!!!
"This kid has a screw loose, ...", no Llenn, the one who is really loose is this bald man.

This episode reminded of the thing that is 'missing' from most fps/multi-player pvp games: the ability to 'loot' opponents and use their gear against them.

Perfect Dark (N64 version) got it right all those years ago when you could 'disarm' opponents (by punching them) and then picking up the dropped weapon but it'd be nice to be able to selectively take gear (assuming you were in range).

I'd be nice to have all the interactions we saw this episode, including
Sneak up behind opponent: pull the pin on their grenade
Full loot/gear drops on opponents you've downed instead of just swapping loadouts

This week's episode was glorious

We finally get to see why everyone fears Pitohui. Using a variety of weapons is apparently more than just a quirky habit observed by LLENN. She's good with all of them, and is also utterly lacking in scruples.

The last scene with LLENN, Fukaziroh and Clarence was pretty damn funny, with LLENN granting Clarence's request for a kiss so as to not look completely bad regarding taking her spare ammunition at gunpoint.

I did a quick search on the AR-57 after watching, and it's apparently a real modification of the AR-15 to take P90 magazines and 5.7mm ammunition.

for notorious P2W, Pito is one of hell cheapskate, not even bothering use own weapons until very last group

That said while good episode on it's own, It's bit bellow novel this time.

Why expend your own limited ammunition during a long drawn out battle royale when you are perfectly capable of wasting your opponents using their own weapons? It's not like they'll be needing them for long

Just like in the original story people playing GGO seem to easily forget that they are just playing a game.

For example when LLENN asked that guy to lie to his comrades I really rolled my eyes. Why exactly would he do that? Pointing a gun to his head would have worked IRL, not really in a game where death is only a minor inconvenience. Unsurprisingly he refused, but the request was pointless to begin with.

At least the other girl accepted to help LLENN, but it certainly wasn't because she feared to be killed.

Pito kicks butt, then Llenn follows suit, even if she's somewhat weak to flirty bisexual ladies Also, Fuka reminds us this isn't your usual serving of SAO Clarence didn't convince me, but that was mostly out of fear things would go a little too silly, which turned out not ot be the case, so a I'm due a rewatch.

Next time, finally getting to the (kind of) named people.

Oh, almost forgot, LLenn continues providing some awesome faces, including crazy ones.

Unironically, immersion, or at least that's what I'm believing to be the case. Yes, I'm aware there should be a limit to such a thing, but maybe the full dive part helps. Also, I'd rather have that than all the characters constantly going "ah, its just a game", because that would get tedious fast. BEsides, if it allows Llenn to go nuts during combat time, I'm willing to accept some over the top role playing.

Considering how easy immersion is with just today's video games where the action is happening on a screen, it's a foregone conclusion that something as all-encompassing in sensory immersion as a Full Dive system would bring immersion to new heights. Having full body VR would be less controlling an avatar with mouse and keyboard, and more LARPING in a virtual world.

It makes me wonder though, it feel kind of weird that enemies inside this game became "Frenemies" of each other to negotiate.
To think this is even legal?
About six teams team up to take out this one team.

And this one team without much casualties, killed all those six teams that are clearly working together?
Is this even possible?
It was like 6 vs over 30 right?

Here's an example of some solo-ing about 30 people in a game (current real-world)

Obviously (the example) is not a team-vs-team scenario but it fundamentally makes no difference.

Even with our current real world levels of technology and the games available it is a completely plausible scenario. Anyone can play a game without necessarily being good at it. It's fundamentally one of the biggest frustrations of online games that require teamwork, getting stuck on a team with players who clearly can't play

- Forming a temporary alliance would seem like a good idea compared to each team getting individually destroyed by PM4 while still having to watch out for each other. There also appears to be a common fear or hatred of Pitohui among the players participating in SJ2.

- A numerically inferior defender can still win if they are sufficiently aggressive and skilled to seize the initiative from the attacker and deny them the effective use of their numbers. PM4 has both qualities in spades.

- M did a good job of drawing fire from the attackers to buy time for the rest of PM4 to infiltrate behind them. They might have been able to take out M if they had closed the distance earlier to use grenades. I speculate that they hung back at range to avoid casualties on the assumption that all of PM4 was behind the waterfall, but that decision ironically got everyone killed.

- Leaving the leaders behind was an attempt to conceal the movements of their teams, but once things started going to crap, there was nobody close by to give orders and maintain squad cohesion in time to prevent a rout.

Really great episode. Pito comes across as one of those bullying player killers in a disturbing way, especially since we know she's very disturbed. While LLEN values her friend and makes friends with opponents, Pito's style of play really comes off as no fun for anyone else.

Loved the peanut gallery, who just keep right on analysing that Fuka is a fantasy RPG player, even when they've seen something incredible. Fuka is so lively and richly articulate, but I recognised 'onna no teki/enemy of women', so I think they got the subs for that line wrong with 'female enemy'.

Very surprised LLEN is already running out of ammo. The ending very much subverted the 'talking is a free action trope'.
