Me thinks the folks in the genderbending thread of the Suzumiya Haruhi sub-forum had a hand in it. Where do people get these ideas? Should Itoshiki-sensei have a lesson about genderbending? *disturbing images start flashing through one's head* Maybe not .

Be thankful the genderbending hasn't taken over the whole fan art society (is that what it's called? no idea). I don't think it's bad, but seeing Nozomu (or should I say Nozomi) with boobs was kind of... yeah... Also as a fangirl I find the male students hot. Especially MaleAbiru, whose facial expressions seriously remind me of Ginko from Mushishi.

The detective segment was really entertaining, and the girls really looked good in black. A lot of funny references this time. Overall a very enjoyable episode.

Somehow I'm extremely sceptic about this manga licensing, it is one of those works that just can't be translated. Del Ray is going to be in despair soon...

Ah, saw episode ten and will soon start on 11.
First things first, this scene was highly concentrated win:


And a new "Zetsubou Shita!", more colours, yay!
The "detune" half was good, but the entire "ari, ari" scene was better, especially the Nozomu harem.
I guess that scene helps the "Kiri Chitsu is a yandere" allegations a good amount, doesn't it?

And Del Ray publishing the manga is quite win as well.
I've never read a Del Ray manga though, so I might try to pick one up before 2009 to see how they go about things.

EDIT: The new subbers are quite nice too.

I'm assuming it's an acceptable translation as well.

I don't see why there would be a problem. The fan translations were able to handle it just fine so why can't they? Del Rey is traditionally very accurate and uses notes when they are needed.

Entropy-Plum City got SZS Manga Volume 2 out today (finally!). Better get them ASAP since they are going to take it offline by the end of the day since Del Rey licensed it.
