Shingeki no Kyoujin: Kakusei no Hoko film followed by season 3 episode 1.

Also really dig the new OP. Love that Hyde is singing, and I don't mind too much that the song is less on the orchestral rock this time around.

The New OP is not as epic but make sense as we're now in a more personal mission rather the life or death battle with titans.

Seems the Goverment is searching their fugitives and even hired a professional killer...seems the new villain is a big threat.

I don't remember this arc too well, but this was pretty fast, wasn't it? I didn't like this arc in the manga, if they can shorten it while keeping the important stuff, I wouldn't mind.

Not a big fan of the new OP, it feels more like an ED.

I also don't have too many memories but judging from the preview they are with a faster pacing. Still, we sure aren't getting too many Titans based on the opening. Attack on Human begins.

I figure they will speed up the pacing with this arc. Otherwise, lots of people will start complaining. Good start to the season though.

Not crazy about the OP. It really does feel like an ED and I miss Linked Horizon. On the other hand, the new OP might suit this arc more than a LH OP would.

Not really a fan of the OP. I get why it's different compared to the previous OPs which were essentially battle/national anthems against the Titans. This time the Survey corps is up against their own government and their struggles seems more personal.

I'm pretty lost in this chapter but I can tell is there's a long way to go for the last chapter of the manga, man I don't recall much of this and the OP didn't help.

I think I need to watch the last season again.

I hate the new OP. The others were all "we will give our lives to fight", but the new OP sounds so hopeful and tender. WTH?

Also, I don't know if it's the anime adaptation or what, but the last few scenes made Levi seem slow witted. He took so long to go from "this is a trap" to "they'll know where we are because it's obvious" to "they'll attack us from behind".

Like the new OP since it's by X-Japan. Looks like this season is focusing on the Scouts and those in the government who knows the truth about the Titans and the Wall.

I get wanting try something different, but even as somber tune it's so ill-fiting.

Anyway, non-manga reader here, and I thought premiere was great. Pacing felt more brisk to me rather than fast which I've found suited this series better than drawn out talky scenes.

Kenny the Ripper though... lol

Thanks to the breaks between the seasons (particularly the huge one after the first season) following the plot has become a little harder and I feel like story has lost all its momentum, but it is nice to see all the characters again. It's a bit weird how this show shifted its POV from the original trio (Eren-Mikasa-Armin) to the "older gen" trio (Levi-Erwin-Hange) but at least we get some focus from time to time. The scene between Eren and Christa was really well done. Christa is a completely different person to how I originally saw her and its nice to know that whilst the other guys loved the innocent Christa, Eren can see thst this Christa is way better.

Kenny (and his gear) looks pretty cool. I can see him providing a lot of thrills. RIP Red Petra.
