Well, it is promoting a card game so it is supposed to make it look all dramatic so we will buy it.

I meant 4 cards of each one with critical. That's like, 12 different cards all with critical.

Basically, all grade zero monsters without trigger have 6K power and those with trigger have 5K.

All card games I know just say "only 4 of the same card" and not "only 4 triggers of a kind".

Do all card games you know work like Vanguard?

It's not exactly ground breaking compared to them...

That's not what I'm saying. I'm saying do you have another one with the trigger thingie; and it allows you to have a deck full of only triggers like you ask.

Btw: There is a limit on how many trigger cards that can be put in a deck.
Max 16 trigger cards in a 50 card deck.
Max 4 heal triggers in any deck. (Says on the heal one)
No other trigger cards mention restrictions.

Duel Masters and Dragonball Z tcg had something very similar.

From what i read, only the heal trigger is restricted in this way. The rest have no restriction but the total triggers you can put is 16.

Ah, okay. I think I assumed that since 16 was max and there are 4 types that it was 4 of each...
But I guess it's only the heal trigger that has a max of 4.

Ah, and I was mixing up my terminology. Criticals are certain a type of trigger. There's critical, stand, draw, and heal triggers.

Decks are a total of 50 cards, right? Which means if you max out your triggers that your chance of getting them is 32%... With twin drive it's more than a 50% chance of getting at least one trigger (336/625, to be precise).

54 cards? Not 50?

BTW, when you heal, can you remove a card that has been flipped upside down by some ability? Or is it only face up cards?

Ah, quite right. Fixed math above.

Objection! It is conditional and without replacement:

50 - 5 in hand - 1 starting - 1 drawn (T1) = 43
Worst case T1 scenario 7/7 trigger => 9/43 = 21% chance.
Best case T1 scenario 0/7 trigger => 16/43 = 37% chance.

Fastest way to have twin drive leaves you with at most 41 cards in deck and at least 3 of the cards cannot have been triggers, so at most 6 triggers can have been drawn at this point.
T1 (Grade 1 ride, draw 1) (-1)
T2 (Grade 2 ride, draw 1) (-1)
T3 (Grade 3 ride, draw 1) (-1)

And at this point it gets too complex to compute in theoretical terms.

Oh yeah... Well, I'm a theoretical physicist, so consider my calculations first order .

Best case chances of getting healed: around 10% (4/40) and only if you have more damage than the opponent, so it becomes a 5%. Same thing applies to any copy of the same card.

Best case chance of getting a trigger in general: around 36% (16/40) and still needs to be a useful one. In a balanced deck that becomes 18%.

The Amaterasu ability to draw a card and choose to place it on top or bottom increases the ods by around 2.5% per card.

Weird, usually it is three, like in Yugioh.

Yugioh is the exception rather than the norm. Mtg, duelmasters, all other bushiroad cards are all in set of 4.

A really needy game should only allow one copy of each card. Copies of the same card ruin the feeling of uniqueness of a card. I mean, does it feel that special if Yugi summons 3 Dark Magicians or Aichi 3 Blaster Blades?

Plus, it allows the makers to easily make different cards with identical abilities and the players won't mind that. They will need to buy 50 different ones; to hell if artwork and name aside they are identical.

Oh, and if both players play the same monster, both should be removed from play. Instant Double KO lol !
