Hoozuki no Reitetsu Season 2 Anticipation

Plot Summary:
Quote:
Hell is a bureaucracy and business is running smoother than ever thanks to the demonic efficiency of Hoozuki, the chief deputy to Lord Enma, King of Hell. Whether it be offering counselling to Momotarou of Japanese folklore fame or receiving diplomatic missions from the Judeo-Christian hell; the man who runs the show from behind the Lord Enma's imposing shadows is ready to beat down to a bloody pulp any challenges coming his way, metaphorically of course...

As the poster boy for micromanagement and armed with negotiation skills worthy of Wall Street, days spent troubleshooting hell with the sadistic and level-headed Hoozuki are never dull. Full of familiar faces from popular Japanese legends and East Asian mythology working middle management positions, this referential and anachronistic dark comedy set in the underworld brings new meanings to the phrase employer liability. Just how hard can it be to manage employees from hell anyway?
Quote:
The official Twitter account for the anime adaptation of Natsumi Eguchi's Hozuki no Reitetsu manga announced on Saturday that the anime is getting a second season that will premiere in October, and revealed a visual for the new season.

Looking forward to it, very much so.

Strange, the last few days have had a number of announcements of anime series I might actually enjoy watching -- Mahou Tsukai no Yome getting a 2-cour, the second Overlord series and now this.

If you heard a lot gasp just now that was probably me reacting to the thread title.

Really looking forward to the 2nd season.

This is great news. Hoozuki is a one in a million series I love that actually sold, so naturally it was the one with an inexplicable delay in getting a second season.

So Wit is either going to have their busiest season ever this fall or everyone there will collapse from exhaustion. Hopefully I.G. will step up to share the load, to the point even of co-production with either Mahoutsukai or Hoozuki.

Wit obviously won't make second season. Most likely DEEN will do it since they made OVAs.

Ain't no "metaphorical" about it, no way.

Hmm ... very good news indeed!

Fall is already shaping up for me quite nicely with a sprinkling of series I am already anticipating!

Yup, it's DEEN. And Yona's director, too. No complaints here.

One of Japan's most popular franchises, yet oddly overlooked in the West. So great to have Hoozuki back - it's one of the smartest and most beautiful anime comedies ever.

Very good start to the new season, I hope we see more of Lady "Crazy Eyes" Inazanami-no-Mikoto, Hozuki's predecessor.

Good start for the season. It retains the well-crafted humor as I remembe from the previous season and its creative world.
