Anyway, a question to all of you Saimoe fans, which year did you you like the most and why? Mine would be 2009 because of Taiga showing that she can beat the odds.

Unfortunately I think that they wont be that powerful due to most of the voters seems like to vote for newer characters lately. I have to say 2002 and 2004 were the best saimoe because the results makes me happy majority of the time and pretty unpredictable.

2006, 2007 and 2009 were pretty rad. Chikaru trolling, Louise trolling and Taiga overcoming the odds, to mention some examples.
2008 was pretty good until quarterfinals started. Tama-chan deserved that.

2008 because Hinagiku reached semi-finals. Also liked 2007-2008 because of the website that makes these reports. Spoiler for Memories of Saimoe 2008:

I am one that thinks the best years might be to come, however I have a few years of significance, ok they all have their charms.
2002, the starter year and a worthy first winner. 2003, the 'lol no repeat business' year with 100% new blood and a 'blood nut' champion, leading to... 2004, the year the fans trolled back with the "Battle of the Applefield" and the first blonde winner and resident "Bee Queen of Orleans" Rosemary coming out on top! 2005 seeing the tournament hit the stratosphere (with international interest and support arriving in droves), and not due to the winner being Nahona herself, having seen the rise of the factional drama that would characterise the tournament for the next few years. 2006 saw this factionalism become codified to the level of a full sporting contest, with the arrival of a few faces that would be 'regular customers' in the years to come. A worthy winner for the, at the time, oldest and still the shortest champion of them all Jade "Desu" (aka Suiseiseki) Stern. 2007 was in many ways the carnival being over for the foreign interest with the first dual champion behind the mike, Yukari Tamura, this time voicing Rika Furdue, triumphing over another of the tournament mainstays Rie Kugimiya voicing someone that had a second bite at the cherry herself Nagi Sanzenin. This later pairing would again fall short last year. 2008 "What do you mean there was a tournament in 2008?" cries the fans, well it had a match where no one showed up for it Fuuko Ibuki versus Hanyuu, the knocking out of one Ryou Hirohashi voiced character "Kyou" by the eventual winner "Kagami", and the placing of another in the final eight "Tama-chan", with the aforsaid eight providing one of the perennial 'lonesome losers' of the tournament "Hinagiku Katsura" her best placing in the semis. 2008 for me was simply "The Year Of The Rie" as her best result and by far the most TV frienly "Tsundere Wonder" Taiga Aisaka triumphing over the hot competition from Saki and her "alter-egos". Other 'stand-out' moments in just about every tournament are the questions, "Which round will the flame haze burn out in this year?"; "Can EAK MacDowell and Ai Halibra get out of rounds one & two?", "When will Hina falter this year?"; "How awesome will the fan video and round posters become?". It is those questions and many more that make me keep on coming back year after year SAIMOE WHERE TOO MUCH BUTTHURT IS NEVER ENOUGH

Before 21:00 mark, Madoka won 11 hour blocks compared to 9 by Mami. Madoka is also poised to win the 21:00 - 22:00 block as well.
I am betting on Madoka to win this match, and then the next match as well.
