ah, then i'm sorry. i misunderstood. i thought u disagreed that the blond-daydream thing was possible at all with no relation to anything else.
i also think that the evidence was not enough, but so much has already been said by others, so i don't know what to add except these fragments, that i have an understanding of. at least i think i do, lol...

And that's really all I was getting at. Saying "you were daydreaming because you saw a girl out of the corner of your eye" - sure, it's not impossible although anything but certain. I certainly daydream about blonde girls from time to time without any possibly being around. Saying that there was 100% definitely a blonde girl there because he was daydreaming and that she is the culprit - a wild guess moronic enough to make me want to drop the show. There was no evidence she was there (until they actually found her and got her to confess that she was there, somehow) and there was no evidence she was the murderer. Basically, the author is apparently too stupid to actually come up with good mysteries .
In this country here, half the girls who look her age do smoke. Nevermind most of the girls who actually are her age Given that, I almost wish they'd have cut the pipe altogether, although I don't know any underage girls who smoke pipe lol. |

Really don't know if this is my fault or what, but whenever I go watch Gosick I think of it like
"Ohh, fairy one." Then Im dissapointed buy tsun tsun attitude. Oh and one thing that really bothers me is the pipe. It is not like shes 65 years old Sherlock Holmes. Instead they could make her eat chocolate like Mello :P |

But the idea that she reeks of tobacco? Ew. |

And that's where you need to be very careful not to think too much into things, because I rather doubt that detail gets played up very significantly in the novels, if at all.

Pipe tobacco actually smells different from normal tobacco, so it wouldn't be too bad in terms of scent. In fact, a lot of people like the smell of pipe tobacco.
Still, she doesn't fence from what I can see, so it's not like she's a perfect replica of Holmes, so no need to smoke either. |

Yeah I can understand the smoking issues, though do think the author just had it that way for the Holmes comparison. No shock that the people making the anime didn't want to show that on TV, the discussion has gotten like this despite there not being any smoke . Personally just don't think about the realities of it. Kind of glad they took the middle road rather than the overly cute idea some have of bubbles coming out of it .

It might sound innocent, but wouldn't that mean she's probably smoking detergent and the like? Sounds like the kind of thing that would warrant a "this is an anime, don't try this at home, kids" message splashed across the screen lol. |
