What's the coolest software you have and why do you like it so much?
well, maybe some people can get some ideas out of this thread, I always wonder what kind of software would be cool depending on what you normally do, who knows? maybe in the future I'd probably use a program that some one would post if they tell me what it does
my favorite softwares are: ABC! (probably my #1 program, no ABC no anime...) Adobe Premier Pro Excellent editing and capturing software, a lot of sound and visual efects to add to your recordings and edit videos Adobe Photoshop Great for making stuff like wallpapers, animated gifs, photo editing, even complements to some features in Premier pro 3Gsauron Great software to make 3gp videos from the cell phone to Avi video, and also to make that avi into animated gif. Digital Media Converter Converts practicly everything to almoust everything, avis to mpeg, mpeg to avi, avi to dvd avi, wmv, to wav, you can even resize your videos or make your video size smaller if it's too big, quick and easy on almoust every convertion, even avi conversions. Msn stealer cool program to steal your msn contact: smilies, photos that they have in messenger, and even other pics if they have used them on messenger Clone DVD 3 excellent dvd copying software, gets over even hard copywrite protections like a charm that most software can't copy. Remote administrator Excellent software to log in to your computer from a nother one, you can see if some one is using it, you can have full control over your pc remotely and even has file transfer, the only bad thing is that both computers need to have this software. well, I'm waiting to see what other cool programs are out there

Simply put, BitComet. Without BitComet I couldn't watch anime. uTorrent? It can't work with a bad ISP like mine? Azureus? It's the same with uTorrent. Only BitComet has that *magical* *wonderful* *beautiful* UDP NAT traversal that allows me to download anime at acceptable, and at sometimes top speeds.
Without BitComet ... my Internet would suck, and it would suck big time. With it - I can watch everything.

Coolest:
Azureus, coz its mine Anime Portal Firefox, coz, yeah, its not IE. Fireworks and Photoshop, coz I need to get my Ava's from somewhere. VLC, coz its a wonderful all-in-one package that doesnt require me installing all those huge messy codec packs. Plus wonderful features like speed control, snapshot etc. Same goes for CCCP. Lastly, all the above sustain my current lifestyle. |

Firefox Should be obvious
Corel Photo-paint I have yet to find a raster graphics editing program that surpasses this one, really. Visual Studio 2005 In the clumsy world if IDEs, this one's the least clumsy. μTorrent I takes up so little memory. Winamp Although it takes up a bit more memory than I'd want it to, its user interface is just too convenient to switch to, say, Foobar. |

I don't really have anything I can't live without. Altho programs I use on a daily basis are as follows. Winamp - The center of my computer media playing. Plays everything but my DVDs [ I rarely use my computer for DVD movies anyways, since I have surround sound in the living room. ] I also love its built in streaming TV and Radio. Counter Strike: Source - Every evening this game sucks up several hours of my life. Gunbound - Amazingly simple yet complex and awesome game. BitTornado - Simple client with all the features I want and none of the ones I don't. eye heart ewe BitTornado |

You know what should be coolest? Windows. Without it, most of your coolest programs wouldn't be able to run.
*runs and hides before getting murdered by the masses* * After making sure the murderous mob is gone... * foobar2000: Simple interface, less bloat than Winamp, and also since Winamp suddenly stopped working for me after I reinstalled Windows. Media Player Classic: A good well-rounded media player to watch all that anime. Combine this with: ffdshow: A great Directshow filter that replaces most codecs required for movie watching. Google Earth: An awesome way for me to find directions to a place, find the place itself, and find grocery stores, restaurants, gas stations, hotels, and much more in a region. Very very useful especially when looking for a good place to stay (as I have been doing a few times within the last year). With some manual mouse-moving, you can estimate whether the place is hilly or not (looking at the elevation at the current mouse point) Spoiler:

im with Komataguri
Steam Great platform and now that they have fixed Steam friends which works and is stable its even better, also supports third party mods, free or ones you have to buy. -However Komataguri, source =[. bad boy!! Windows Media Player use it to watch and listening to everything, havent needed anything else yet. FireFox might not be the best i like it, my portal to the interweb. Windows OS as lwl12, it runs the things we use and i find its quite stable on my pc and so its all good, only got BSoD once and that was my fault for putting a flashed stick of ram in my pc. |
