Correct... Forum Staff (Some double as site staff members... sadly there is no actual list of the site staff or share team members up at the moment though due to the forum being on a different server to the main site...)

Er, I don't want to dig up that discussion again.
But anyway, AnimeSuki isn't run (mainly) by Americans. I'm Dutch (but currently living in Ireland) and part of the staff is from the UK. Of course some are from the USA though (such as NoSanninWa). However, since we list English fansubs, most of our visitors are American: more than 50% in fact (plus a lot of Canadians). And mainly because the fansubs are in English, we don't want to hurt the biggest market for English anime: the USA. |

I was almost going to start a new thread, but figured maybe it would be more appropriate to just post in here and hope a mod will see it.
What if people posted links to sites or torrents that had Japanese music videos for download? I understand the risk and downside to posting mp3's since companies want you to buy the cd to listen to the song, and therefore could conceivably go after a site providing info on where to get such mp3's. But the whole purpose of music companies making music video's is to promote album sales for their artist by getting people to see them on TV (for free) which in turn will get people into the music stores to by the album. Although I wonder if very many music video's are availible to begin with.

As for the Share Team... I don't think that they really exist anymore. The sharing purpose of AnimeSuki just isn't as important as it was a year ago. Today there are a lot of groups batching up and sharing their older releases. When AnimeSuki started doing it, they were the only ones. Now it would just be redundant for AnimeSuki. I saw old projects come out in batch just as AnimeSuki was considering them.

A few groups are fansubbing music videos. Live-eviL did a couple, they have torrents on their torrent page at scarywater. There are some others too. If you are talking about just giving the links, I'll boost that. Maybe just one thread in music forum for links is enough; having one thread for every PV that comes out is kind of a lot. I rather not see torrents listed on AnimeSuki torrent site though. Anyway that's my 2 cents. |
