 image by melange Another day or war, another shift in the balance of power. Interesting times they say. A curse to some, and a boon to others. The KyoAni Empire makes an effort to secure its borders after more than a week of difficulty and invasions from all sides. The God Empress herself takes a force to secure the Imperial-Alliance border. There she ecounters the First One. Sakura was once the dominate power in the Galaxy, now the God Empress decides to gain additional respect by defeating the oldest winner of the moe wars. Haruhi's fleet overpowers the First One, driving her from the borderlands. Other forces take back sectors of space around the God Empress' position. The Starfish Warriors of Fuuko defeat a picket force under the Red Queen Tamaki. The Moe Marines of Mikuru drive Techno-Magi Commander Index from a KyoAni border station with overwhelming force. And Nagisa the Bold takes her fleet against President Hinagiku's defensive blockade in Sector 1323. Even the Animalistic Peoples of Makoto were able to drive away the new Alliance ally from the Kannagi Theocracy. These forces help secure the Empire. A few parts of the Imperial-Alliance border remain in dispute. Commander Hayate was able to interdict the vessel Ayu in Sector 1323 before Dango Fleet arrived to challenge the blockade. The Stormtroopers of Nayuki were driven from one outpost by the Shining Blue Dragons of Ami, thus keeping part of the border in Alliance hands. On other borders the Empire also attempted to regain itself. Against the Rozen Federation the Legendary Kagami put a hault to the Suiseiseki Fleet. Having tired of the Federations advances, Kagamin would give no quarter and not submit to the power of desu. With time the Elder Hiiragi pushed and pushed, eventually getting the Maiden of Rozen to make a mistake and come crashing to defeat. While no quarter was given, Suiseiseki managed to fight the retreat all the way back to Federation Space and out of the Core Worlds before Kagamin stopped following. St. Nagato-chi would conduct the same sort of tactics against the Red Mage Rin of the Kingdom of Night. The Red Mage would fight harder the Maiden of Rozen, but the results were the same...the Kingdom was driven back to the edge of the Core Worlds. However the push was not enough to get them to abandon their second Core World, thus maintaining there power base. The Collector for Oyashiro-sama was defeated by the Witch-Regent C.C. on the Geass border. Colonel Rena would put of a valiant effort, but the Witch would pull the one trick known to distact the Collector...pure moe. With a sudden application of the dreaded "servant girl" mode, the Collector went into her Kawaigasm state and while driven to take the Witch-Regent home, was distacted from the nature of the battle. The blow was all that was needed to damage the Collectors ships enought to force a retreat, though several of the Witch-Regents ships were captured by the Collector in this effort. The Gentle Peoples of Sayuri would take in Protector Reimu. Crushed by the loss of so many of her people, the Poor Miko would lose herself on that normally peaceful planet. Hanyuu would become confused during cross-faction wargames by the Loli Warriors of Mei. Unable to bring herself to attack due to their voices reminding her of home and Rika-chama, Hanyuu surrendered early in the exercise. President Tomoyo would send a repair fleet to help rebuild the Balsamic Fleet and the Stars of Fortune. The recent battles had been hard on that region of the Empire. The World of Rika-chama would also send aid to the Trade World of Izumi. The much needed aid was not taxed an an import by the World of Izumi, defining just how badly the world had been devistated in the recent battles. The Sickly World of Shiori would greet the Liner Akari to their world for the first time. Key Advisor Kyou would queston (bully) Key Intelligence Officer Ichinose about the failure to inform the Empire of the impending attacks. The Daemon Hunters of Mai would head to the Key Border World of Misuzu to rebuild that worlds defenses after the many recent assaults. Elsewhere: Turmoil in the Alliance. Was this the beginning of a Civil War? Master Shana and Master Nagi went head to head over the tactics used in their war against the Empire and how they were blindsided by the Federation. Shana was able to win the sword fight rapidly against her old padawan, but would this rift enlarge? Even the great White Devil and Commander Fate would start fighting over this war. Though the fight ended fairly quickly, the fact that Nanoha lost the fight seemed disturbing to outside observers. However interal affairs suggests that the two might have done this to release their fustrations and enjoyed making up behind closed doors after the fight. However internal squabbles continued. The Diet Warriors of Minori would fight the Red Knight Vita over a territorial dispute. Padawan Taiga would be forced to destroy a number of rogue members of the Heralds of Azumanga who threatened to leave the Alliance. The old Heralds were becoming bitter over the appearent lack of recongintion of their once great fighting skills in the first war. Not all was bad. The Alliance backed assassin Yami was able to stop the Rozen Federation's advance by taking out one of the Red Fleet from Shinku's commanders. The Legendary Maria traveled to the World of Persocom. There she would enjoy herself for the first time in many months. Due to the nature of the Chii, she was able to blend into due to her own mastery of the art of cosplay and her naturally in tone voice. Kugimiya Knight Louise of the Void and Padawan Yuuhi would travel Touhou Space. Louise would defeat the Black Magician Marisa while Yuuhi raided the World of Knowledge. The blockade on the Geass Regency was disrupted by the Loyal Retainers of Anya's defeat of the Yellow Braver in sector 1105. Techno-Commander Mikasa would disrupt a Spice convoy from Shugo Chara to collect the Spice Amu for the Alliance. Saber of the Kingdom of Night would sight the Assassins of Shiki for their many failure in the employment of the Kingdom. The Loli-clones of Illya would raid the remains of the Negima Empire for the glory of the Kingdom of Night. The Dark Evangel was unable to stop them in time. The Royal Guards of the Geass Regency would take steps to secure their border by destroying a Touhou listening post operated by Aya the Fast. The Liner Alice would refuse to stop at the Scarlet Castle. Something about not being a bus. The Rozen Federation's Dark Sister World of Suigintou was able to secure a good deal with Horo Enterprises for the much needed Spice Amu.

The KyoAni Empire began a series of attacks against the Alliance while it was in turmoil. The God Empress Haruhi would strike into TSAB Space and engage Commander Hayate. The Mistress of Darkness would put up a valiant fight, but the SOS Space Forces were too much for her. Loli Warriors of Mei would invade the Kannagi Theocracy in an effort to remove them from the Tenuous Alliance. The invasion would be deadly, but the Loli Warriors might not be enough to drive the Kannagi out of the Alliance for good. The Legendary Maria, with great enthusiasm, would attack a picket vessel operated by Key Intelligence Officer Ichinose. With this rare chance to "bully" the enemy not going to waste, Maria would perform the "cosplay manuever" against Kotomi and score a victory for the Alliance. Kugimiya Master Shana would manage to destroy an invasion fleet holding several divisions of Stormtroopers from Nayuki. This loss would put the KyoAni invasion back. The Invasion fleet had been escorted by the KyoAni ally Rika-chama. But the efforts of Padawan Taiga would prevent this force from completing its task. This loss would force Rika-chama to retreat from the Core World to regroup in Hinamizawa. However the Moe Marines of Mikuru would be enough to take over a Core World near the HnG Combine, defeating President Hinagiku's forces in the process. Master Nagi, at a loss from her defeat again Shana, would travel to the Gentle World of Sayuri to regain her thoughts. However the dark side sturred in Nagi, she would lose herself on that Gentle World and fail her latest test. St. Nagato-chi would near be assassinated by the Alliance hired Yami. Only the lightning reflexes would save God Empress' Chief Intelligence Officer from certain death. Other KyoAni Forces were engaged with the Kingdom of Night. The Legendary Kagami would lead the attack against the Kingdom. Her own force would deliver a critial blow to the Kingdom by defeating their leader Saber. However the Daemon Huntters of Mai and the defenseive escorts from Shiori were pushed back by the Red Mage Rin and the Loli-Clones of Illya. The Collector, Colonel Ryugu, would travel to the Planet of Shugo Chara to obtain the much needed Spice Amu for Hinamizawa. Hanyuu would apologies over and over again to Nagisa the Bold for an incident involving the Precious Ushio. The Key Border World of Misuzu would detain the Liner Alice for various customs violations. President Tomoyo would bring the Liner Akari to Misuzu to cross supply the two liners and find out what violations are standard equimpent for these two ARIA Corporation Liners. The Balsamic Fleet, newly repaired, would conduct live fire tests on old "Starfish" type platforms. The results were encouraging for Hiiragi the Younger. The Trade World of Izumi would turn down the protection of the Animalistic Peoples of Makoto, saying that their world was already properly defended. Key Advisor Kyou would intercept and detain the vessel Ayu for a number of reckless acts during a time of war. Meanwhile: The Geass Regency was having interal problems. The Royal Guards and the Loyal Retainers would be in conflict due to the Regency's recent losses. The Royal Guards rebelled against the Regent, wishing to follow the path of the Emperor rather than the Witch-Regent. The Loyal Retainers would be loyal and managed to defeat the Royal Guards in the Regent's name. The Regent herself was off sacking the Scarlet Castle for its defiance of her rule. Horo Enterprises would strike a deal with the Touhou by making an offer they could not refuse on the World of Knowledge. The First One Sakura would defeat a recon effort by the Touhou's Aya near Alliance Space. The Black Magician would use the turmoil in the Alliance to raid the Heralds of Azumanga for stores and supplys. Protector Reimu was defeated by the Kugimiya Padawan Yuuhi in battle, though Yuuhi would be forced to return to Alliance Space following the battle due to wounds she sustained in the fight. Techno-Commander Mikasa would travel to the World of Persocom to gain upgrades from her railgun. The Rozen Federation's Shinku Fleet would defeat the Shining Blue Dragons of Ami in Sector 1140, perhaps gaining an advantage for the Federation over the Alliance. Suigintou's fleet would destroy an effort by the Diet Warriors to dislodge her forces from the Core Worlds. The Garden World of Suiseiseki would defeat an effort by the Yellow Braver to distupt her position near the Core Worlds. Commander Fate would take a task force to old Negima Space to stop the Dark Evangel from attacking Alliance Worlds. This force would destroy some of the old loli's means of waging war. Techno-Magi Commander Index would avoid being assassinated by the Shiki in a effort to remove more Alliance commanders from the front lines against the Kingdom of Night. Hints of the Civil War continue as the White Devil tracks down Kugimiya Knight Louise of the Void. Nanoha was forced to "befriend" the wayward Kugimiya Knight before there was a chance the Alliance might fracture more than it already has. The Red Knight Vita would also be tasked to being the Red Queen Tamaki back into the Alliance before more systems attempt to rebel against it and weaken the Alliance in the face of the KyoAni Empire.

Of Points and Counterpoints: (Sapphire 8)  image by melange The balance has been restored, but for how long? The Empire continues its march to remain the dominate power of the Galaxy, while the Alliance settled its small Civil War. The Key Border World of Misuzu performs an unexpected service to the Empire and the God Empress this day. The Witch Regent C.C. struck from Touhou Space to gain a foothold on KyoAni Imperial Space and throw the Empire into chaos. The valiant border world held against all odds and drove back the Regent of the Geass Regency. Her efforts will be commended. Commander Fate would strike deep behind KyoAni lines in an effort to keep them from massing their forces against the Alliance. Striking at the Sickly World of Shiori left a bad taste in Fate's mouth, but orders were orders. The defenses fell and Fate escaped before the KyoAni forces arrived to reenforce the world. Key Advisor Kyou would enter Alliance Territory and engage Commander Hayate. Hayate's recent defeat by the God Empress had hardened he somewhat, but it was still not enough against the likes of Kyou. Vita's forces where also attacked, but this time by the Balsamic Fleet which nearly crushed the Red Knight's defenses in the first wave. The battle was over quickly. Key Intelligence Officer Ichinose was intercepted by Techno-Commander Mikasa in Alliance Space. However Kotomi's larger fleet was able to turn the tide of the battle around and score a much needed victory for her forces. The Legendary Kagami would cover Officer Ichinose by engaging the reenforcing Techno-Magi Commander Index's Fleet before it could enter the engagement area. St. Nagato-chi would take on the Shining Blue Dragons of Ami with her main fleet. This force nearly crushed the Blue Dragons defenses. More attacks like this could open up the outer colonies to invasion. Nagisa the Bold would take her forces deep into enemy space to engage Nagi the Unpure in battle near the Kannagi border. This engagement was to keep the Alliance off balance with KyoAni ships appearing in all sectors and not knowing where they would strike next. It seemed to be working. An assassin from the Nebula of the Golden Darkness would kill one of the division leaders of the Daemon Hunters of Mai for the Alliance. The Legendary Maria would capture the smuggling vessel Ayu as it tried to evade Alliance patrols. Kugimiya padawan Taiga would stop a transport fill f troopd from the Animalistic Peoples of Makoto before they could enter Alliance territory. The God Empress Haruhi and ally Rika-chama would enter Touhou Space to solidify recent gains in that direction and hopefully prevent another Geass raid from that region of space. Haruhi would stop a picket force under Aya so that Rika-chama could engage and destroy a formation under the Black Magician Marisa. The Moe Marines would be sent to the Mysterious World of Hanyuu to assume station as an ally. The Trade World of Izumi would deny the need for aid from soldiers from the World of Mei. The need for Loli Warriors was not needed it would seem. The Collector, Colonel Ryugu, would head to Persocom to take home a new model of Chii for her own personal collection. President Tomoyo would lead a force to deal with the Kingdom of Night's expansion into KyoAni Space. She would engage Loli-Clones of Illya on the ground of one former KyoAni outpost and force their removal from Imperial territory. The Starfish Warriors of Fuuko would escort the Liner Akari from KyoAni Space. The Stormtroopers of Nayuki would regroup on the Gentle World of Sayuri dispite its near neutral stance in this war. Meanwhile: Kugimiya Master Nagi, possessed by the dark side, returns and is confronted by her own Padawan, Yuuhi. The battle does not go well for Yuuhi, who is the weakest of the current generation Kugimiya Knights. While she managed to put up a good fight, she was no match for her own master. Someone else would have to bring Nagi back into the light...or kill her. Kugimiya Master Shana was busy dealing with the Rozen Federation. She had managed to corner a Fleet from the Red World of Shinku and managed to bring them to battle. However the battle did not go well for Shana at first. With things looking bad, she issued orders to drive through the enemy forces, ram if forced to do so. The battle turned into a ship to ship melee with many losses on both sides. Kugimiya Knight Louise of the Void would prevent a retalitory raid by the Dark Evengel on Alliance territory. President Hinagiku would be te target of a failed assassination plot. The Assassin of Shiki was killed by Hinagiku. The First One Sakura was able to contain an effort by the Geass Regency's Loyal Retainers of Anya from breaking out of their territory to join up with the Witch- Regent in Touhou Space. The Diet Warriors of Minori engaged the planetary defenses of the World of Knowledge in the ongoing war to return space to normal in that region. The Yellow Braver was attacked by the Kingdom of Nights Saber near the border today. The battle was considered short and the Yellow Braver heavy injured. The Red Mage Rin would secure the Liner Alice for the return trip for Saber. Horo Enterprises would reject a new bid for the Spice Amu from Protector Reimu and the defensive systems around Shugo Chara would prevent a raid staged from the Scarlet Castle from gaining any of the precious Space outside of normal channels.

Ugh, this is depressing... yet another loss for Fate... and by more than 500 votes no less.
