AE controls basically require you to treat the AE like part of your body, at least that's how the neuro-signal quantum connection system works without a proper OS . It's generally how Rong pilots the AE. It doesn't have a proper interface which makes everyone else unable to pilot it. (He is working with American IS research center to fix this.).

AE can't be compared by anything in Canon since it lacks core that is related to I.S. Core, even though the technology and the frame construction is same.

The closest one would be Minerva and derivate units in Stratos's fanon, who posses 'Iwaki Core', similar yet different to I.S. Core. (correct me if I'm wrong)

No, I mean the closest thing AE can be compared with.

Duplica Stratos is made from cloned cores (who's inferior tho the original and a bit unstable). Duplica Stratos is mass produced by Dunois Corporation and various corporation under the coverage of Phantom Task, Armor Stratos is made to counter it, each using a refurbished I.S. core.

Cecilia: Inami Arisawa, an orphan adopted by a rival family that she gets along with.

Rin: Yankee boy you mentioned before. Works as an IS engineer to provide for his family.

Charlotte: Frederick Marks, child of the business rival for Dunoa industries. Gets closer to Charlotte despite warnings from parents.

Houki: Kazuma Kudo, Tabane's lab assistant and butt monkey test subject.

Kanzashi: Kamijo Touma, unlucky 15 year old who gets a job as a butler for the Sarashiki family to support himself.

Side note - Is the eldest child or the more skilled child proclaimed head of the Sarashiki org?

No, but at least shared in our fanon (at least Me, Rain, and Eratas) with each of us has different take on it.

@ Stratos does I.S. drone has authentic core or they used Iwaki Core as well?

It's her dream come true......straight out of her manga collection Besides, whether he's the same is debatable since Irish will look at the monorail later and see the list of destinations includes: Academy City, Butei Academy, North High and an alternate station for a city called "Hinamizawa"

Also, I just typed this scene out at random... though its bound to happen sometime during the early parts of the story:

Spoiler for Scene:

========== In one of the Academy’s stadium ==========

The towering Golem stares at Tsurugi, slowly lifting up its arm to fire its particle cannon.

“Tsurugi! Watch out!” yells a fellow student charging towards the drone with her Uchigane IS.

She attempts to strike but the drone grabs her katana then tosses her into the stadium wall.

“AAARGH!” she screams in pain upon crashing into the wall.

“Kiyoka! Darn it!”

Tsurugi, in her Uchigane, charges at the Golem as it fire its particle cannon.

She narrowly avoids the shot and swings her katana towards its forearm. The katana strikes the drone’s forearm hard but with little damage done.

It attempts to grab hold of her katana but she manages to dash backwards, avoiding the reach of its huge arm.

“Our weapons aren’t effective on it… What do we do?” Asks Kiyoka as she straggles back on her feet.

“Tch. Its armor’s way too thick… Shizune, any ideas?”

“I got one. Kiyoka, approach it from the left, I’ll take the right!” Shizune instructs.

“On it!”

The two girls immediately boost off, heading for opposite sides of the Golem as it tries to figure out their intentions.

“Now! Fire the grapple hook at its arm, Kiyoka!”

“Okay!”

The girls fire their respective wire-guided grapple hooks at the drone which latches onto its forearms. They keep their hold on the wire as they attempt to constraint the drone’s arm movements.

“Tsurugi! Here’s your chance, go for the chest!”

“Understood, Shizune!”

Tsurugi bolts towards the Golem, holding up her katana in a pre-stab stance as she set her sights dead center on the drone’s unarmored chest.

“You’re mine!” She yells out.

The drone however, manages to muster up raw strength and swings its arms towards her, pulling the other Uchigane pilots along as they lose their foothold.

“Crap!”

Tsurugi holds up her katana, blocking the punch which knocks her backwards. The drone then tosses the other ISes towards her, snapping the wires off the latched hooks.

“Wooaah!”

“Iyaaaaah!”

Kiyoka and Shizune crashes next to Tsurugi, slightly injured as they slowly recover their defensive stances.

“That didn’t work… We need better weapons, or someone that has them.” Kiyoka remarks as the drone charges up its particle cannons for another shot, aiming at them.

“Look out!” Tsurugi alerts them as she dashes into the line of fire.

“Tsurugi!”

As the drone is about to shoot, a couple of projectiles strikes it from above, causing a huge explosion which disarrays it.

The girls are surprised at the sudden intervention, quickly looking up to see who fired the shots.

They then catch sight of the Minerva Kai diving in through the hole on the stadium roof where the drone came in from.

“An IS…?” Shizune utters as she barely makes out the Minerva’s appearance.

“But it’s… small…!” Kiyoka adds.

Tsurugi, being the only one that recognizes the machine, watches in awe as it sends a powerful kick into the Golem’s face, slightly knocking it backwards.

The Minerva lands in front of her, promptly turning to face the pilots.

“Arisawa-sensei!” She calls out to the pilot.

“Hi! How ya doin’?” The pilot, turning out to be her friend and personal instructor Inami Arisawa, greets her.

“Tsurugi, who’s that?” Kiyoka asks in confusion as she does not recall any instructor with that name.

“He’s uuh… well…”

“HE?”

“Not now, missy.” Inami calmly says to Kiyoka as he immediately turns around and puts up a concentrated barrier, shielding them from the Golem’s particle cannon shot.

‘Energy barrier too? What IS is this…?’ Shizune thinks to herself, staring at the Minerva in awe.

Inami draws out the TsukiAkari lance as he glares at the drone.

“I don’t know what’s your purpose in attacking them… But you’re about to regret doing so.”

“Sensei, that thing’s pretty well armored, we can’t breach it!” Tsurugi updates him.

“I know something that will. Follow my lead, everyone.”

Setting aside their doubts, Kiyoka and Shizune ready their katanas. Tsurugi then draws out hers, standing next to the Minerva while smiling at him.

“Ready for Drone Combat 101?”

“Yes, Sensei!”

Inami then calls up the Mach Magnus which then slowly materializes on his hand.

“Well then… Let’s start!”

Inami leads the Uchiganes as they begin their attack on the Golem.

And yes, they are the canon Shizune and Kiyoka.

Praxidike drones(Including the Personal IS replica variants) run on miniature fission reactors as all their weapons(and ammo) are built in.

Secretly, yeah. Not even Inami(somewhat) nor Tabane herself knows of its existence until Phase Shift kicks in.

@ Zero - Just imagine Irish walking down the street.....then suddenly he gets glomped from behind by a girl calling him "Accelerator". Cue albino teenager walking down the street, grabbing said girl, staring at Irish, then leaving without a word.

In another part of the city, an average teenager with spiky hair and bad luck and the only male student in IS academy are being chased by droves of girls, all while screaming "Such misfortune".

@ Stratos - These are AU versions of the characters and they go under shrodingers gun: If Cecilia is single by the end, then Inami is just friends with Tsurugi and vice versa. If she's with Ichika, he'll mention when asked that he has a girlfriend.

Same applies for the other male LI's, if their choice was chosen by Ichika, then they're either already in a relationship or have no romantic interest in the heroine they were supposed to date.
