Japanese online retailer 7net is currently previewing the cover of the April issue of Shogakukan's Monthly Hero's magazine, which lists an anime adaptation for illustrator Kazasa Sumita (Witchblade Takeru) and storywriter Shinya Murata's (Jackals) Killing Bites manga.
Quote:
The official English website for Monthly Hero's describes the manga:

People have been created that are human-animal hybrids, and powerful businesses bet on the outcome of their duels. College student Nomoto Yuuya's casual acquaintances ask him to drive them around to pick up girls one day, which he soon finds out means by force. The girl they kidnap is an animal-human hybrid named Hitomi, who slaughters all of them except Yuuya. Hitomi is a honey badger, which has been called the most fearless of all animals. Now Hitomi is assigned to stay with Yuuya, for his protection!

Killing Bites are underworld duels between human-animal hybrids.
One beast who knows no fear will fight in this animalistic world full of fear and insanity.

This ultimate battle of the beasts will shock you to your core!

I think it's from the Amazon Prime version.

Anyway, I think this show was more like mindless action with poorly crafted characters. The story is trying really hard to get me to like it but so far, I don't think it's working.
Of course, this is just the first episode so I'm hoping it will improve.

I've read a bit of the manga so I knew what I was getting into, but I got even more dumb OTT hilarity than I expected. From the hammy narration (...will they do this with the snake penis part, too? I'll be so there) and the whole very honest "BEAST FIGHTS AND CHEESECAKE, WOO-HOO!" aspect, to tiger dude wearing that hilariously stupid outfit in the OP (I still say it's his sister's).

Lion guy was a letdown, though, that roar was seriously lame. Also, man, you're a LION. What are you doing trying to punch your opponent with those ridiculous paws.

And did cheetah girl gain a couple of cups while I wasn't looking...?

I certainly didn't expect actual animation and no censorship.

Great!

I like this. It's gory, it's fast, it got no censorship at all and it's basically half-furry girls battling it out who got the meanest bite! I wish they would keep the whole "title your attack" party away but whatever.^^

to be clear is not just "girls" but also males, the battles don't have just girls as we saw in first episode, they gonna battle either male or female beastpeoples.

I really do like that manga it's giving a "fighting game vibe" like street fighter, or darkstalker or samurai showdown, the fanservice looks really "awesome"(no censorship ), that serie was on my "watch list" and i do hope this can help booster manga populairity if it still running and we can get more "translations from the manga since no new chapters since a really long time.

really looking for it.

sounds good.
like the corny kanji freeze frame atk moves (even for basic things like SLASH!)

the way the narration keeps going on about the animals in the middle of the fights reminds of one manga named Aranacid which was about insects where the narrator would constantly, BY THE WAY THIS INSECT IS KNOWN FOR THIS

And also bring back the fighting game that was canceled and maybe be done by a well known game developer instead of that crappy one.

I liked first episode. Yuuya weird and silly mood switches was hardly convincing, but I am willing forgive that because Hitomi has one of hell killer body (and no I not sorry for that bad pun).

It would be nice if some of weregirls in future got some nice abs...

Arachnid and Killing bite have the same author, Murata Shinya .

I actually wish Arachnid will become anime instead of this but oh well both are fun anyway.

well, the Manga was drawn by the same author as Arachnid and has the same asides (basically explaining why this animal has this advantage in the fights)
