Looks ok. Story is a bit bland given his history and who he is now, but the visuals and fights were mostly enjoyable to watch. Will see how this turns out.

Sakura's background is obviously super common, especially for delinquent story, but he is such cute tsundere that it just work out. Especially when he switch from chuuni mode to embarrassed mode.

Same. Since I haven't read it and all I know is it's also called Windbreaker and is about cycling, I kept waiting in vain for the bicycles.

The MC's "woe is me I look weird" isn't very credible when he still looks like a conventionally attractive cosplayer. I feel a guy who became a delinquent because of his looks should at least look like Angel Densetsu's MC.

We are talking about Japan though. If you don't look like everyone else, you will be looked down. You either conform or get pushed out and no amount of "conventional attractivness" can fix that.

Solid first episode.

Gave enough focus on how hurt and twisted up Haruka had become. Doesn't want to be hated, but doesn't know how to accept being appreciated. He honestly seems to have come to that school looking to give up. So naturally finding a place where he can potentially find acceptance is difficult to process.

Visuals were fine and it looks like the fights will be handled well. I'm feeling good about this one

FlareKnight User of the "Fast Draw" Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: Canada	Spoiler for Ep2: No surprise, but I think Haruka's favorite person in class is going to be that hot head . Someone opening up with pure aggressiveness is totally easier for him to process than people being open and welcoming. That's certainly a sad thing to think about, but it definitely keeps the end of this episode from being a heavy cliffhanger. Kyotaro at least wasn't too fast for Haruka to handle so I'm not sure how their threat levels compare. But if he wants a fight then I'm sure he can get one . At least the goofball friend was way more tolerable when he dropped the over the top act he was putting on. I get him trying to go through an image change going into highschool. But he was pretty darn annoying there. At least he held his ground. Although that wouldn't have been good for his health without Haruka stepping in.
