I just found out how to apply the effect on the video with tenfex ... you need AVISynth to do this . just add a refrence to the video , then call the tenfex function and give it two parameters , the first one is the (Fex) file , the second one is the (ass) file ... something like this Code:
avisource("x:\video.avi").ConvertToRGB32() # the video must be RGB tenfex("X:\yourfexfile.fex","yourassfile.ass") but there is something I don't know in this tool , it's ( How to compile my script to (fex )File >< the compiler crash win I put the script into it !!! oh yeah .... i don't think you'll find Wiki help>< |

Hi, I've been going through all the pages and it's so useful ^^ I've learnt so much.
I'm currently trying to learn how to use effects, putting them on with Crumja's Karaoke helper, but for some reason, there's a part that won't go into the output file. I tried doing it seperately but it just comes out with a blank ssa file. This is what I'm trying to put effects on: Code:

More than this, you have to check the properties. The size of the video must be the same as the ass script. Check this Link. It talks about your problem. You have to save it as .c file. Because it's c language. It worked with me.

I'm trying to make really simple karaoke subs for a song (ie. just simple hiragana, romaji, and translation, no fancy effects or anything) but I'm starting just from a song with no video to go along with it. How do I take a song file and make a movie out of it (ie. a black background with just the song playing)? I tried windows movie maker but virtual dub won't open those files...
Sorry for the dumb question. |

as jfs said avisynth is the best way
you can use this example Code:
m_LENGTH = 500 #Video Length (in frames) m_WIDTH = 640 #its Width m_HEIGHT = 480 #and Height m_FRAMEPERSECOND = 25 #its Framerate m_COLOR = $000000 #and color (color must be hexadicimal ) #make the clip with the information above BlankClip(length = m_LENGTH, width = m_WIDTH, height = m_HEIGHT, fps = m_FRAMEPERSECOND, color =m_COLOR) change the length to fit your song |

Hi, I'd like to use some auto3 scripts I've downloded from the Aegisub's wiki, but I don't get them working with a simple \k line.
I've already read most of all the previous pages of this thread and I saw some piece of code from jfs, but again the same result : it doesn't work at all. I read all the different tutorials about automation from Aegisub's wiki, but it doesn't explain how to make a script works. So I'd like to know if someone could explain me the way to get a script working with auto3. PS1 : I undersand the code for the different effects and not totally the one from the lua langage (I'm still a newbie in this field ^^) PS2 : jfs, how can you go to this url from the main page of the wiki ? Hmm, first, what version of Aegisub are you on? Lots of things have changed in current SVN versions from 1.10, Automation being one of the very changed things. I highly recommend you (and everyone else!) to try a pre-release version.
I'm not saying it'll fix your problem, it probably won't. Can you describe "doesn't work" in better detail? (What do you do? What happens? What did you expect to happen?) As for getting to the Karaoke inline fx page, here's how: Main Page -> Automation Tutorials -> Simple-K-replacer tutorial -> Updating to latest scripts -> Link to Karaoke inline fx is in the "changes" section. Yes it's hard to find. Lots of information on the wiki is very outdated... we've just recently started a new wiki that will be used for the manual for Aegisub 2, it's the plan to have proper documentation for everything there. Including all those Automation topics
