Is full metal alchemist currently being shown japan? and if it is,
what episode are they up to?

Im just trien' to see if any anime out there is being fansub'd as fast as naruto

Anime-Keep is current on FMA I believe. Most series stay current or relatively so... Naruto just has a bunch of crummy egosubbers is all, making Anbu/Aone rush a tad too much with their version now too sadly...

It is, and FMA is at ep 13 in Japan now. IIRC there were a few fansubbing groups doing FMA but the ones I usually download from are animeforever and anbu/akeep. I think the day it is released is normally 2 days after the day of airing, about the same speed as Naruto I guess.
