Furthermore, you haven't seen Dragonaut, have you? Although it was mentioned with some vitriol earlier in this thread, the voice Hirano did for Garnet McLane is pretty much how I imagine Kiss-Shot would sound. It's not exactly a BAD voice, either.
Not to mention the original reason companies hired her is because she could pull off a great mature-character voice for American show dubs. Unless more recent immature characters have ruined her voice (if that's even possible), she should do fine.

Prequel containing some of Shinobu's backstory.

That story is specifically told in the "Tsubasa Family" chapter that is in Nekomonogatari. Although I suppose they could try to fit it in the prequel if they wanted to.

What do you mean by Hirano doing American show dubs? She speaks American?

Ah, alright. Then I won't expect it to be here.

Actually, that means that she dubs over American shows in Japanese.

No. She dubs English shows in Japanese. Dubbing does not mean recording English over something. Dubbing was originally used with cassette tapes and other audio media. Google it if you want.

Americans aren't the only ones who desecrate other cultures' media with their filthy barbarian language... ^_^

Lots of American shows are popular and mainstream in Japan, and much like mainstream in the States, that tends to disfavor subtitles.

More and more dubbing is being done in Japan now as well. Younger audiences don't like to read subtitles and prefer dubs while older audiences prefer subtitles. While American companies have always dubbed foreign media until recently. The famous Pan's Labyrith was not dubbed because the director forbade it, since he knew how much it would change things. So the movie that was so popular and won so many awards was in subtitles. And the recently finished TV show, Lost, had the most subtitles in any TV series to date because two characters were Korean. The episodes which were focused on them had more Korean than English spoken and the audience watched it and accepted it. Dubbing and subtitling differ in each country, but both are done in every country.

I think I went off on a little tangent there, lol.

Let's stay on topic! I just re-watched Hitagi Crab and the short clips in the beginning of the first episode got me really excited for this series. The action should be awesome.

May I ask for spoilers on Kiss-Shot's background and her relation to Araragi (spoiler-tagged of course)?

Probably should ask here instead (or you can read through them, sometimes there are more spoilers than Kizu though).

now that you mentioned haruhi, I fear that it might happen..... now I'm worried.

The character of kiss-shot is really a proud brat if you ask me

I'm really excited on this one especially because it's story is a bit differ than the bakemono series. This one should pack some REAL actions

Their hasn't been a subtitle show on my country. All crap dub works but I also like some dubs.

Well, I don't think you guys need to worry much about Aya voicing Kiss-Shot: I doubt she'll ever get another role after this. (Link NSFW)

Wow. Truly didn't see that coming.

Also i suggest making a thread about it before this thread becomes mega off-topic.
