Highlights:

* Mugi's reaction when they find out that the person who called Sawako is female.
* Ritsu, without missing a beat, takes advantage of the note-dialogue to scare Mio. For no apparent reason other than the lolz.
* First years wanting their picture taken with wild Sawako. Awwwww...

Azusa looked more loli than usual in the metal costume...

What was the deal with the piece of bread they kept holding up while sneaking around? A reference to something?

Was "Janice" from the live house the bridesmaid in pink? If so, why didn't she perform with the band?

Loved the episode - metalhead!Sawako looks pretty seductive, and even more so when she's not dressed as a metalhead. The song itself was also pretty brilliant; it's still hard for me to grasp the reality that Sawako shares the same voice actress as Maria Holic's lovestruck Kanako.

Looks like her. I'm guessing her skills have gone rusty. I suppose "Christy" was the only one who continued on with the whole Death Devil gig (with new band members), and that the only reason why she wanted Sawako to perform was because both Sawako and "Christy" were constantly pushing each other to become better guitarists.

Judging from the flashbacks to Sawako's high school life towards the end of the episode, would it be safe to assume that Yui would probably end up like her in the future?

Fact: Mio cannot give off a metal look. The other girls were so-so (with Azusa the one who succeeded the most IMO).

Anyway, epic episode is epic. Nice build-up to the most awesome climax this show has had in a long time. More of that would be highly appreciated.

I was wondering why the animation quality in the beginning looked pretty bad. The end more than made up for it. :thumpsup:

Random Thoughts:
-That opening guitar riff was made of pure win.
-The maracas looked like a backup plan just in case Yui's antics didn't work. (Seriously, maracas in a rock band? )
-Sawako in Death Metal mode is hot. Wearing contact may not be a bad idea
-Wait is that Yui? Does this mean Yui's future is a shorter haired Sawako?


Preview: We're getting more and more into the summer I see. All I know is that each episode brings us closer to the training camp episode. Then there will be cake.

During the flashbacks, I assumed she was the one near the board, seemingly explaining stuff. So I reckon she's the band 'manager' of sorts.

They were in self-study mode in English class. Ritsu was pretending to be diligent. XD

What an amazing episode. Sawako stole the show entirely. I really liked the song she sang on stage as well. And seeing the HTT girls dress in metal outfits was awesome.

Man, after seeing the few shots of Death Devil in their school days in this ep, now I'd really like to see a episode length OVA or something that features them during those times.
