Why didn't CR have that little skit? It looks like I have to talk with them about getting my money's worth....

Looks like the manzines are still going strong.
Oh my. What a waste. I guess I'll have to download an updated version if one comes out.

Nice to see Watashi joining in on the fun.

Considering the title of her book, I highly doubt it's a yaoi manzine.

Episode 4 did a very good and solid job in ending off the two-episode arc. I'm really glad they expanded their commentary on manga to go beyond just yaoi alone. It made things much more interesting for me.

It's funny... Y's character design made me think a little bit of an older version of Aquarion EVOL's Zessica... And the way Y wrote this manga made me think of Aquarion EVOL itself.

I love the ending song.

Just wanted to say that.

I also liked this arc more than the previous one. Maybe because it was more pertaining to my interests.

Same here, but has anyone found the lyrics? Would kind of like to know what's being said - particularly given that the end image of the ED could be seen either as a Fairy Gulliver's Travel - or her laying down for a final bit of peace among the flowers...

Episode 4. Pure f***ing brilliance. Even topped episode 2 for me, which I already immensely liked. If Hyouka's festival arc was the best culture festival arc of any anime done in the last decade, then Jinrui's social commentary on the manga industry is also the best I've seen in the last decade, but gets many many more bonus points for being satiric, witty and getting me loling so hard every couple of minutes.

This series has a extremely high chance of appearing near the very top of my top 2012 picks by the end of the year, if it maintains the quality.

Btw, I know I shouldn't speak of this heretical name, but I must say this because it's too funny to ignore. Did anyone substitute Y for Mari Okada by any chance? . I mean it makes perfect sense if you do. Rank #6? That was when Mari Okada was writing True Tears. Rising up? That's when she was scripting Toradora. That brief period where she was rank #1? That was when she wrote Ano Hana and won the Animation Kobe Award. And the period where Y was moving up and down (but on a general downward trend) the ranks? That was when she was writing the 2nd half of Hanasaku Iroha, Black Rock Shooter, Aquarion EVOL and now AKB0048. And for future predictions phase, when Y gets cancelled (or in Okada's case get's told to f off by the industry because they don't wanna take her emasculation/crossdressing and balls to the walls insane plot twist shiz no more), the two upcoming JC LN adpatation romcom and Bones shonen manga adaptation . Makes the episode even funnier imo. And the quotes... oh god the quotes.

"The story is falling apart..."
"That is not important!"

Yep that's Kawamori/Okada when they were making Aquarion EVOL allright...

Favorite episode yet,it really hits right on the mark where I laugh because I think to myself "this is so true".

So I'm not alone! While I'm sure the episode itself was portraying some long running jump titles I couldn't help but think "Okada,Kawamori,I hope you're watching this"

Being the trolls they are, I would give it a 90% chance they are watching it.

Ya know - I am really coming to like this series more and more... but I wonder when a "serious" storyline will come in (if ever?)... I'm not clamoring for one, mind you, but somehow I feel as if something large and... well "serious"... were looming and will be dumped on the viewers like a ton of bricks?

It really seems/feels like this series could be way WAY darker and that the director, story, etc. has been "holding back" a lot somehow. Maybe it's just me? Anyone else feel something similar?

That's because the cynicism has only been expressed through black humor so far. The cynicism is there but I think we'll always be seeing it in this format.

The black humor kind of reminds me of Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, and I know it's supposed to humor us, but it still comes across more dark than funny. Listening to the narrator, we could be in for a nice boat at any moment. I can't shake off that feeling while watching.

This is comedy, but I think the overall tone so far is extremely dark - morbid, in fact.

You know what...

Ep 4 reminds me a lot of how many great series ideas gone cancelled... too much originality and randomness can ruin a publication...

Also, if the Manga they were in... had a "poll"...
Does that meant the other "series" were also Trapped Humans?

Does this mean the faeries are Trapping Thousands of Humans inside Books? until they either become #1 and gave an ending, or hit rock bottom to either "die" or return to their original world....

Hmmm... BAN LIST IT GO.
