I'm starting to feeling déjà vu with this new arc. I'm going to have to look back at series I've read to find the cause of it.

Does anyone get the feeling that the mangaka is having a fun time drawing characters with armor? He did an amazing job with the two armored YAMI masters that came up on this chapter.

yeah, i noticed that too. i like that, the arms guys look pretty strong

I finally figured out why I was getting déjà vu from this arc; it reminds me of an arc from Change 123. I think it was the American base that triggered it.

Very true, but the question I have is if one of them is a guy or girl? I have read the chapter a few times and that scarred person is referred to as a girl but looks more masculine.

I have read the RAW but I really can't find where it is mentioned as the scarred person as a she, maybe it was lost in translation?

I think the mangaka has fun drawing able-bodied characters in general...

Lol, very true. Especially when it shows off Shigure, Miu, Renka, and Rachel's abilities.

Agreed, both in and out of the manga universe. Still, my favourite part is her reply to the man hitting on him. At first I'm enjoying it for its delightful snarkiness, but afterward it really hits me that she really considers Ryouzanpaku as a home, and all the people there as her family (a sentiment I'm sure is shared by the other masters as well). Considering her background, living alone with in the mountains with only her father, one so absent-minded he forgot to give his only daughter a name, I find this really touching.

Yeah, it's pretty clear that Shigure is my favorite character in the manga...

I don't really care for the masters fights (except for Shigure

) It's not fun when the fight is typically one sided, Ryouzanpaktou's masters are just too strong. Kenichi's fights are the one of the main reason I like this manga.

Shigure has taught Kenichi. Apparently she has also taught Kenichi "rope techniques" (mentioned in chapter 147)

Oh yeah I totally forgot about that lol. "Rope techniques" too tie up girls that have submitted.

First, Apachi is afriad of riding on planes and has to be bribed with being feed hamburgers for about three weeks before goining on. Some really nice shots of Shigure in her beach wear and how she responds to a guy hitting on her. ("Where are you from?" "My home"). Looks like the YAMI Muay Thai master is going to be in this arc, along with three other weapons masters that look nice. Plus, it turns out the YAMI base is inside a US Base.
