Anyway, moyashimon is pretty educational - they have to make it cute and hilarious so that it can appeal to the mass and not some boring biological textbooks. |

I'm talking about the anime, haven't read the manga and really not interested either. I found it to be just about a boy who is able to see germs, is bored out of his skull, makes a few friends, loses his power, regains his power, end of anime.

"plot, the pattern of events and situations in a narrative or dramatic work, as selected and arranged both to emphasize relationships—usually of cause and effect—between incidents and to elicit a particular kind of interest in the reader or audience, such as surprise or suspense....." taken from answers.com it is a narrative work - even though, it may sound like some typical shonen stuff or some boring work but the story telling itself is a plot. Just that you might not find it interesting. If you do find it boring, then maybe, this is just not your kind - and you can gladly drop it. As for me, I still find it pretty amusing - because, not a lot of animes/manga out there are on micro-organisms... |

On a side note, the creator must have one heck of an imagination to make germs look so... friendly and funny looking o.o'

Moyashimon is more a "slice-of-life" show than a plot-driven one. Looking at that list of shows in your signature I don't see anything else that falls into the s-o-l category, so perhaps you're just not familiar with shows in this genre.
Moyashimon is actually somewhat more plot-driven than purely "slice-of-life" shows like Hidamari Sketch or ARIA. There are plot threads that continue through all eleven episodes.

I find this show great for romance and character better than most romance based shows that are worse with meandering about.

Damn, Oryzae post it notes just got listed on CDJapan for preorder
http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/goods/goods...EY=NEOGDS-2100 They keep re-listing certain Moyashimon goods for re-release. Wish they would do that with those original series plush toys. I forgot to pre-order and they were all gone by the time I remembered.

Just finished to watch this anime.
When I watched it, it reminded me of my 4th high school biology class (optional class). Back then, we even made raw wine! (lol and we were all minor. The wine had an equivalent of 78% of alcool in it since we didn't filtered it) Now now... I wonder if, after watching this show, people didn't started to make some "chewed" sake in their basement... -_-" Hope not for their own sake. (lol... a 2-meaning sentence. XD) |
