Hi there! I'm new to this site, and noticed you were speaking about Yuuno. Yuuno is one of my favorite characters in the anime, which makes me sad with how his prominence has faded.

Can anyone suggest good fanfiction about him that is not on FF.Net? I've read all the good ones there and thus am looking for stories that are elsewhere now.

Well there aren't to many Yunno fics to begin with and navigating this site finding one is impossible and still a pain if you use the search thread tool. Thankfully I have been collecting links. Since Yunno's falling out probaly was influenced by Nanoha fate fans who only now realize what we have lost.



Well Wrong or not here is a Yunno tale for you by someone else.

A Day at the Amusement Park, a GenerationS side story

In the nearly clear, blue sky above the sun shined its warming rays as it passed its apex. The rays of warmth heated the surrounding air of the city below bursting with activity. Men and women milled around inside and out going about their daily business. Some sought out the refuge of the tall, air conditioned buildings. Others took advantage of the warm weather and spent the day out to take in some fresh air. The local amusement park was especially busy with the pleasant weather. Groups of friends gathered and milled about. Families of all sizes and relations wandered the park led on by smiling, eager children. There were also some mixes of the two groups enjoying a day at the park.

“Waaa~!”

One Vivio Takamachi took in the amazing sights around her with a mix of curiosity and wonder. Her mismatched eyes darted from ride of ride, from display to display as she almost skipped in joy on one of the many concrete paths. If she was able to have her own way, she would be running about from attraction to attraction. However her escorts on either side of her for the day preferred a more casual pace at the moment.

“Vivio, what would you like to ride first?” asked the young lady holding onto her hand on her left.

“Everything!” replied the young girl with a bright smile.

The young man on her right chuckled at her enthusiasm.

“Well, I don’t think we can ride them all at once, Vivio.”

That caused Vivio to pause her current train of thought and ponder for a moment. She placed a finger from her free hand on her chin as her eyes wandered upwards in what appeared to be deep thought. A short moment passed before she excitedly pointed at the Merry-Go-Round.

“That one Nanoha-mama!”

“Alright. Let’s go!” exclaimed Nanoha Takamachi, the famed Ace of Aces (as well as infamous White Devil) of the TSAB, as she smiled down at her adopted daughter.

The heterochromatic girl giggled in excitement as she sprinted towards the selected ride, dragging her mother along side her hand in hand. From the rear, head librarian of the TSAB Infinity Library Yuuno Scrya couldn’t hold back the wide smile as he watched the two run off.

“Yuuno-kun~! Hurry up!” called back Nanoha as she tried to keep up with her daughter.

“Coming,” he called back, breaking into a jog to catch up to the pair.

With the large crowds that day, the majority of the rides were fairly busy. Lines at the more popular attractions had several hour waits as people continued to pile into the robed-off areas. The Merry-Go-Round was no exception as the pair stood in line. Nanoha glanced around her to find her friend sitting down on one of the nearby benches positioned around the ride area.

“Eh? What are you doing over there, Yuuno-kun?”

The blonde-haired young man lifted the camera that was resting around his neck and gestured to it, “You two go on. It’d be harder to get good pictures if I was right next to you.”

“Mou…are you sure?” remarked the brunette with a slight frown.

“I’m sure, Nanoha,” he replied with a laugh, “Besides, the signs say they only allow one adult to be standing per child and she is your daughter.”

“Oh, fine. You had better get some good pictures then, you silly ferret.”

“I will, I promise.”

A tug on her arm brought Nanoha’s attention to the girl besides her as she knelt down to answer some question she had. From the bench, Yuuno leaned back and watched the mother-daughter pair with a smile. He had known the famous mage for over a decade now. In a way, all of this was his fault.

‘No that wasn’t right,’ he corrected himself, ‘I was the catalyst that started a journey and an adventure.’

The line moved at a fairly quick pace due to the large capacity of the Merry-Go-Round and its rather short duration compared to most other rides. Based on his estimates, they would only have to wait another two sets of people before it would be their turn. He sets the camera down on his lap and allows his mind to wander while he waits.

‘Nanoha…a very close and dear friend to me that I’ve known since the beginning of, well, all of this. We’ve been through thick and thin together in those two Lost Logia incidents. It’s still rather odd how it all turned out back then,’ he chuckles, ‘To think that she would be the one to pick up where I failed and push forward to collect the remaining Jewel Seeds. And out of her own resolve to help me, too. At first I felt guilty for throwing all this on her shoulders, but when she scolded me and wanted to do it for herself to help…’

His eyes blink as he straightens up and scan over the line looking for where they were. They were now closer to the front, but still at least one set of people away. It looked like Vivio was asking her mother some questions to which Nanoha was happily replying if the bright smile on her face was any sign. The sight of mother and daughter smiling was too much as a smile crept up on Yuuno’s lips.

‘Yes, I think it was then that I began treating Nanoha more as a friend rather than a partner. Back then I was still young and naïve, but now I think about it that was probably when I started to fall for that girl whose smile and determination could surpass extraordinary odds.’

The large group of people exiting the ride brought him back to reality. Picking up the camera, he scans the circular ride for the pair. Even with the mass of people wandering looking for an open spot he manages to pick out the brunette and her rather unique off-centered ponytail on the outer ring of the ride. He watches as she helps Vivio up onto the ornate horse. The little girl smiles and giggles as she grips the pole running through the seat. Behind her Nanoha rests one hand protectively on her waist, just in case.

Yuuno hefts the camera up and peers through the viewfinder as the bell in the center rings announcing the start of the ride. The platform begins its slow rotation with music pouring from the numerous speakers in the ceiling. He centers and snaps a few shots of Vivio as she smiles even brighter with the horse slowly bobbing up and down. They pass out of view for a moment, allowing him to set the camera down to rest his arms before coming back around. This time he zooms out to get a few shots of the pair passing by smiling happily.

As he snaps the last photo for the rotation, Yuuno’s mind wanders a bit to the older woman in the photo. Having known her since she was nine, he’s had the opportunity to watch as she developed and matured over the years. From that little, energetic girl she had grown to be a stunning woman with an incredible track record with the TSAB, her career practically set for her.

‘Her figure had also filled out quite nicely, too. Not to mention how great she looks in that skirt…’
He quickly coughs, trying to clear that train of thought from his mind. It was well known throughout the TSAB of the three Aces from the Non-Administered world and their spectacular feats from the young age of nine with no prior knowledge of magic or formal training (with the exception of Fate). Over the past few years their stunning beauty and continuing single status also became fairly well known. Many men, from recruits to high-ranking officers, tried their hand at attempting to court one of the famed Aces only to be turned down. Some had compared the chances to dating one of them to taking them on one-on-one with no limiters and no attack restrictions. This comparison had also kept many from even trying in the first place, yet some still tried their luck now and then.

Setting the camera down on his lap, Yuuno recalls what Hayate had told him before they left for the park.

“Can we talk for a bit, Yuuno-kun?” Hayate spoke audibly, winking in Nanoha’s direction.

“Uh… Sure…” Yuuno glanced at Nanoha.

Nanoha paused in confusion, but then shrugged and said, “Alright. Don’t be late, Yuuno-kun~!” before running off after Vivio.

Hayate dragged him around a bit before settling behind a wall. She stood up straightly with her hands akimbo, a confident smile on her face.

Yuuno pushed up his glasses nervously, “What did you want to talk about, Hayate?”

“So you’ve finally made a first move, huh, Yuuno-kun?”

“But…” Yuuno sighed, “Like we said, it’s just a-Wha?!” he jolted as Hayate’s finger was pointed directly at his nose.

“Whatever it is, you must do your best so as not to disappoint Nanoha-chan,” Hayate warned him with one eye closed, her other hand rose to form an encouraging fist, “Okay?”

‘The first move, huh?’ he mentally sighs.

While the others had never said anything about it, Hayate had been the one to confront him about the ‘status’ between Nanoha and himself. As much as tried to deny any romantic interest in the girl, he knew that it was a lie and he was also lying to himself. He had given her a lot of space when she first started her TSAB career so she could find her calling. The atrocious lack of organization in the Infinity Library had also kept him quite busy at the same time. Now, however she’s an instructor for the new TSAB recruits and plans on remaining such as her refusals of promotions after the Cradle Incident have shown. Not to mention that she has a daughter to look after.

‘Perhaps now would be the best time to give into Hayate’s urgings…,’ he ponders.

The lack of music and rise in voices breaks his train of thought. He instinctively stands and looks around for the pair from the crowded ride’s exit. A slender hand waving above the sea of heads catches his eye. Moments later the trio is reunited by the bench with Vivio giggling happily between the two adults.

“Mama! Mama! Let’s go on another one!” she urges while tugging on Nanoha’s arm.

Nanoha nods, taking a moment to look around at the sea of people around the park.

“Alright. Which one do you want to ride?”

The young girl grins and takes off running down one of the paths. With her hand still locked with her daughters, Nanoha had no choice but to keep up behind the excited bundle of energy the best she could. Behind them Yuuno couldn’t help but laugh as he watched the ‘great’ Ace of Aces being dragged along by a little girl. It definitely was quite an unusual sight.

As the daylight slowly faded away, the trio would ride several more of the attractions, with Vivio promptly dragging them off to the next one with an excited look on her face. Now the sun was nearing the end of its journey across the sky for that day. A spectrum of reds and yellows replaced the lively blue sky. Many groups had already left the park for the day to either make their way home or find a place to eat. The slowly thinning crowds and dimming sky was not lost to the two adults.

“It’s starting to get late, Nanoha. We should probably start heading out soon before we get stuck in the rush out.”

The brunette nods in agreement, “That would be a good idea. Come on, Vivio. Let’s head home.”

Vivio, however, had other ideas.

“No! I don’t want to…,” she complained.

Both adults sighed softly, having realized that this was probably the reaction they would get from the girl. Nanoha knelt before Vivio and placed her hands on her shoulders.

“Vivio, it’s starting to get late. We can always come back another time. Plus Fate-mama is waiting at home for us.”

The little girl crossed her arms over her chest and pouted, puffing her cheeks out as she shook her head to stand by her original decision. As Nanoha tried to reason with her daughter, Yuuno couldn’t help but grin as she watched the little girl whose mannerisms reminded him so much of her mother.

“How about this Vivio,” he starts as he squats down next to Nanoha, “We’ll do one more ride. Any ride you want, okay?”

“Mou, Yuuno-kun. Are you sure?”

Before the librarian could respond, Vivio points her finger at a ride behind them.

“That one!”

Yuuno and Nanoha both rise and turn to look at what the girl was pointing at. Two pairs of eyes fell upon the large Ferris Wheel towering near the end of the park. With the sunlight slowly beginning to wane the giant wheel was lit up all over by bright lights, slowly spinning its passengers around in enclosed passenger pods. Finding herself unable to come up with any opposition to the proposed agreement, Nanoha straightens up and smiles.

“Alright. One more ride.”

Vivio lets out a cheer and grabs the adults’ hands as she excitedly makes her way to the ride. At the same time the pair wonders where she gets all this energy of hers from.

A short time later the trio finds themselves slowly rising from the ground in one of the silver pods. At one end of the pod Vivio kneels on the plastic seat with her hands pressed against the window. Green and red eyes gaze out over the brightly lit park rides and buildings slowly sinking as the wheel turns with curiosity and fascination. On the other end Nanoha and Yuuno sit next to each other and watch over the young girl.

‘Oh boy…I guess it’s now or never,’ he tells himself.

“Nanoha?”

The brunette turns her attention to the blonde boy, “Hm? What is it Yuuno-kun?”

“Erm…ah, Vivio has quite a family, huh?” he blurts out in nervousness.

“Yea, she does doesn’t she?” she says leaning back against the seat, “Fate-chan and I take care of her most of the time. Sometimes Hayate and her Knights watch her watch her when we’re busy with Bureau stuff. Now that I think about it, I think Vita-chan looks to her like an older sister although I doubt she’ll ever admit it.”

Nanoha giggles as she glances over at Vivio, “Maybe I should tell Vivio to start calling her ‘Nee-chan’ from now on.”

That got a chuckle from the young man, especially with the scene of the powerful Iron Knight blushing in embarrassment and stuttering denials floating around his mind.

“Yes, that would be interesting to see.”

“All the Forwards have some attachment to her before RF6 was disbanded. Even Chrono-kun can’t deny that he’s fond of Vivio with how he grins every time she calls him ‘Uncle Chrono.’”

“She does have that effect on people.”

Straightening himself up, Yuuno takes a deep breath to gather what courage he can.

“Ah, what would you say about me Nanoha?”

“Oh, you’ve also been a huge help. I feel kinda bad sometimes when I keep having to ask you to watch her,” she replies in a bit of embarrassment.

“Don’t worry about. I don’t mind at all, especially with all that’s been going on lately everyone’s been pretty busy. Although…”

“Although…?” she questions as she turns to look at him curiously.

He knew that there was no turning back now.

“I-I want to be there for you and Vivio, Nanoha. To be there when you need help,” he pauses as she stares back with her blue orbs waiting for him to continue, “What I mean to say is you, Vivio…would you…”

“Mama look!”

Both adults nearly fall out of their seat in surprise as Vivio jumps between them and points at the window she had come from. Nanoha is the first to recover from the slight scare.

“Look at what Vivio?”

As the young girl excitedly leads her mother over to the other window, Yuuno takes a moment to calm down. He leans back on the seat and watches Vivio excitedly point out different things outside to her smiling mother.

‘I guess now just wasn’t the right time, huh?’ he muses.

Although he was disappointed, he was also a bit glad that Vivio did what she did. He had known Nanoha for a long time and couldn’t deny that he liked her. There were probably others that could see it, but Hayate had always been the most open about encouraging him to ‘make his move’ as she would say.

Yet he was also worried about what would happen when he actually did ask her to go out with him. He knew what he felt, but he never could really tell how she felt towards him. She never really gave any signs of liking him, yet she also never gave any signs of not being against it either. If it meant ruining the friendship they had he didn’t want to risk it, but at the same time he won’t know until he tries.

“Mama, over there! So pretty~”

Yuuno smiles as he continues to watch the pair. There was no use to rush things. Sometimes it was better to just stand back and wait for the right moment. If it was meant to be he’ll wait for that moment. Until then he’ll be there for her as he was back then, watching her and protecting her in anyway he could.

It was cold. That much was certain. Even in this barrier that blocked out the wind and kept the inside from getting any colder, it was still freezing. Looking up, I scowled at the snow building on the top of my red tinted dome. "I hate planets like this," I stated my obvious contempt. "Why did I ever accept this mission?"

"I'm sorry." Yuuno answered me while studying the relic we had recovered. "I'm happy you came, though. I would have been in quite a spot if you weren't here."

It was true. We were on a frozen wasteland of a planet. Barely any trees, lots of ice, nothing but snow and mountains as far as I could see. A relic was discovered here, one that had the form of some old civilization idol piece or something. To me it was a clay doll, but to Yuuno it was much more. He was called here for a reason, I suppose. Although he needed a body guard, he was the only one able to actually comprehend what it was. The cave-in that happened when he picked it up might have killed him if I wasn't there to blast away the rubble.

But right now that didn't matter. I was freezing and we couldn't communicate with the ship until the snow let up. "Vita?" My name made me look over at my partner for this mission and noticed that he had a blanket. "Come on, let's get warm."

I wasn't one to turn down warmth. Walking the few paces to him, I sat beside the nineteen year old man and curled up under it with him. "It's not big enough," I complained, frowning at it with distaste.

"Hmm..." Once again the man looked around a little before having an idea. "Come here," He moved to the half-tree that was inside our barrier and sat down to lean back on it. "Sit in my lap."

His lap? As in between his legs? "No thanks," I crossed my arms and looked away. I had my dignity after all.

"No one will know," He tried again when I had a full body shiver. "Come on."

I looked at his offered hand and met the clear green eyes. Yuuno, one of the only people that I knew who treated me as an adult, was offering to keep me warm with his own body heat. If it was anyone else I would have slammed them with my hammer. Yuuno, though, was the kind who just made me calm down when we were alone. Nanoha was the only other one to do that to me, but she wasn't here right now. "Okay," I gave in and walked to him, sitting between his parted legs and instantly feeling the blanket wrapped around us both.

We stayed silent a while, watching the falling snow together with nothing else to do. "It's kind of nice," He spoke, breath tickling the top of my head. "Seeing snow I mean. It never snows where I'm stationed."

"I hate snow."

"Why?"

I looked down. It was snowing the day Nanoha almost died. Ever since, I cursed the cold. I knew it was childish and that the snow had nothing to do with it, but still... "I don't know," I lied to him.

"I see, I'm sorry I asked." He saw through my answer. He always did.

Time passed so painfully slow. I was warm now, having been under the blanket for a good hour or so now. Our small hand held heater was ever so slowly warming the barrier up. Not enough to really notice, but heat couldn't escape the barrier so every little bit helped. More time passed in silence and I found myself getting sleepy. I had not rested since my last mission because this one was only supposed to take an hour or two at most. I wish we knew that the snow here interfered with communication before hand. Or known to pack supplies. At least Yuuno had a little bit of everything in his exploration backpack. Yawning, I finally allowed myself to rest my back against his front.

"If you're sleepy, you can rest." He told me softly. Before I could state that I was perfectly fine, he went on. "I need your help in case something comes up again, so please rest while you can."

Damn him. He knew just what to say, just how to word it to play to my pride. Not just this but everything. He made it so I could always enjoy things without losing my dignity. I knew I acted childish, it was who I was, but I hated being treated as such. Others would have told me I needed rest. They would have said my younger body needed sleep more than an adult's. They would have tried to look out for me because I was smaller. Like a little sister.

Yuuno was the one who spoke to me as an adult. He said he needed me in top form to protect him, stated clearly that I was needed. He saw me as a woman, and although I would never admit it aloud... Sometimes I sought him out just for that.

Maybe that was the reason I took this mission?

Closing my eyes, I rested fully against him. "I'm going to rest then." I tried to get comfortable for a few moments but could only stay still when his arms gently wrapped around my upper body. The embrace was almost non-existent, but it still made me relax. Yes, I could relax in his arms. He didn't see it as a weakness. After all, he needed me to protect him.

I don't know how long I slept, but when I finally did wake up I noticed that the snow had stopped falling. Our barrier was warm enough to make the built up snow on it stop sticking. I moved from the loose arms, waking my partner up in the process, and used my device to contact our patrol ship. "Scouters calling base. Come in base."

"This is base," a man's picture came on my screen. "We were worried, Scouters. Are you okay?"

"We're fine," I informed him. "We recovered the relic and got caught in interference. Sending location now."

"Received. Transport will arrive shortly."

"Ah." I closed the monitor and looked behind myself. Yuuno was packing everything up and getting ready to head out. Not once did he pat me on the head, or ask if I slept okay. Nanoha would have. She would have teased me just to rile me up, because she liked me. Yuuno on the other hand seemed different. He respected me. He saw me as a woman and treated me as such.

Maybe that was why my heart beat faster around him.

I was thinking about writing a fanfiction with lutecia as one of the primary characters, however I find myself stumped on what type of magic to give her. Yeah I know its support type, but is she like Caro with enhancement magic or more like Yunno.


Bottom line is that I need some examples to help me think of what sort of magic spells to give lutecia.

I was wondering with Lutecia's past, traveling with Zest looking for things on artificial mage project, would having her be partners with signum in the field be a good idea for a story. My reasoning is that Signum being one who has done many regrettable things in the name of other masters of the tome. Basically being able to connect with lutecia, plus any respect for Zest.


I know there are stories about her, mainly radiant beams/ Dezopenguins shadow verse, but even if I respect their writing I want to see Lutecia in a more normal light or at least one where she is a shadow, black ops person. Mainly because I see potential for her outside of all that.



Oh and I noticed during strikers that Agito never unisoned with lutecia, I realize it is probably a very low comparability, but if there was a scarier reason like insane flaming lutecia that scared some of her stronger summons. Then again agito unisoning with Nanoha may be equally as scarry

Hello altogether. Some of you may still remember me and my fanfic Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha AtonerS (a.k.a. The Nanoha Fanfic Where Nanoha Is Dead). Well, I just published the third and final part of it on FF.net. Here is a link to the first new chapter:

It was the sound of a motorized engine quickly growing louder that first caught Fate’s attention. The blond-haired woman looked up from the dishes she was rinsing off, cocking her head to the side to listen. Loud as it was getting, she could tell from the noise of the engine that whatever was making it was slowing down. And if she was right… it was slowing down at the house? That’s odd. Nanoha didn’t say someone was coming over today, she thought idly as she turned the sink off and wiped her hands dry on the towel. Maybe it slipped her mind?

Fate had only just returned to Cranagan from a relatively short off-world investigation last night, after all. Still, Nanoha usually lets her know about these things. The engine sound died out as it cut off, in front of the house, and Fate was already headed for the door. There was a knock as she reached it, and she opened the door.

The person standing before her, just outside the threshold, was certainly not anyone that Fate had expected. A teenage boy, maybe fourteen or fifteen, stood before her, and with an old motorcycle was parked on the sidewalk a little ways behind him. He was a bit tall, and had a fierce-looking expression on his face, which held narrow, gray eyes and a cocky grin framed by locks of silvery hair held back by green and black bandanna. Large headphones hung on his neck, and a green jacket with black flame designs hung over a black, Jolly Rodger-emblazoned shirt and orange khakis, also with their own flame design around the shins.

The delinquent before her raised a hand—she noted a number of rings on it, as well as a band of linked gold on his wrist—and gave her a saucy little salute, his feral-looking grin still plastered on his face. “Yo! Is Vivio around?” he asked. His pronunciation of her name sounded off, like he didn’t say it all that often.

Fate blinked. He knew Vivio? If he were one of her friends, Fate would know about him—either from her or Nanoha; Vivio never failed to talk to her mother about meeting a new friend. Fate was positive she’d never seen this boy in her life. “She is,” she said after a moment, looking wary. “May I ask who’s asking after my daughter?”

“Name’s Kurt Grendel,” he introduced himself as he lowered his hand, placing them both on his hips. If he felt anything about Fate identifying herself as Vivio’s mother, he didn’t show it—that grin never left his face. “I’m—”

Any further words from the boy were cut off as they both heard the telltale pounding of footsteps as Vivio rapidly descended the staircase from her room. There was certainly no way she or Nanoha had missed the sound of the engine, but since Nanoha was taking a midday bath after working all morning… well, obviously Vivio had been expecting this boy. The girl was wearing a two-layered outfit, a teal sundress laid out over a short-sleeved white dress. A thin choker was tied to her neck, and laced up sandals adorned her feet. Instead of her usual twintails, Vivio had two braids on either side of her long hair. A purse hung off her arm, and Fate could see one of Sacred Heart’s plush ears sticking out from underneath its flap.

“Ah, Kurt!” she said cheerfully, brightening up as she saw the delinquent boy.

“Hey, Vi!” the boy said, raising a hand in greeting as the girl brushed past Fate and hugged him tightly, causing the off-duty Enforcer to blink.

“Vivio, who is this boy?” she asked.

“Kurt’s my boyfriend, Fate-mama!” the cloned girl said, releasing him and standing at his side, his arm still around her shoulders.

“… boyfriend.”

Well.

This was new.

When was Nanoha planning on dropping this little bomb on her?

“When did this happen? Does Nanoha know?” Fate asked, turning her head aside as she looked at Vivio.

“Yeah, Nanoha-mama knows,” Vivio told her, sounding a tad bit hesitant. “We started dating while you were on your case.”

“C’mon, Vi, we’re gonna be late,” Kurt said, nudging the girl.

“Just gonna hang out,” the Kurt boy said, followed almost immediately after with Vivio saying, “We’re meeting up with Corona and Rio and a few others.”

Fate’s frown was almost imperceptible, but Vivio caught sight of it, and looked a bit more hesitant. Fate weighed her options, though—she knew very well that Vivio could take care of herself, and if Corona and Rio were with her. This boy, however, looked like trouble… but she was also aware that looks could be deceiving. She’ll have to talk to Nanoha about it, and reluctantly nodded to Vivo.

“… alright then. Stay safe, and be back by nine,” she said, resting back on her heels.

Vivio brightened up and nodded back. “Mmn! Thanks, Fate-mama!”

Fate kept her eye on her daughter as she and Kurt climbed onto the motorcycle—neither used a helmet, but she sensed magic in use, like Vivio often did with her spars with Shante at the Church. The bike pulled out onto the street and Vivio let out a whoop as they sped off. The Enforcer sighed—her mother was right, girls really do grow up fast.

Fate closed the door. “Bardiche, please keep in contact with Kris,” she requested of her Device in her pocket.

“Yes Sir.”

“Fate-chan?”

Nanoha’s voice drifted from the bathroom, and Fate saw her stepping out of it, a towel wrapped tightly around her body. Her hair and shoulders were still damp, and droplets of water dripped onto the floor—she’d gotten out of the bath in a hurry. “Who was it?” she was asking. “I heard someone pull up…”

“A young man came to pick Vivio up for a date. Why didn’t you tell me she had a boyfriend, Nanoha?”

Fate expected a number of reactions from her best friend. Embarrassment and the characteristic giggle she makes when she’s nervous, perhaps. Not the startlingly coarse swearing that suddenly erupted from the redheaded woman, nor the angry stomp of a damp foot that threatened to break the floorboards underneath the carpet.

“I can’t believe her!” Nanoha raged, storming off to the living room with her towel threatening to slip off her. “I told her I didn’t like that boy, told her I didn’t want him near my house!”

“Nanoha?”

“Why in the world won’t Vivio listen to me about him?” Nanoha was pacing back and forth in front of the living room table. “That girl is so grounded! She knows better than to not tell me she’s going—!”

“Nanoha!”

Fate’s shout finally brought Nanoha to a halt and made her look at the other woman. Oh, she was furious, Fate noted. Her eyes were smoldering with anger. “What?!” she demanded.

“What’s going on?!” Fate cried, utterly flabbergasted by Nanoha’s behavior and completely upset.

Growling, Nanoha threw herself onto one of the couches, looking for all the world like she wanted to bite something. Fate was settling herself onto the other one when Nanoha finally spoke. “She met that boy just before you left for your last assignment. She’s infatuated with him and ever since they started dating she just won’t listen to me.”

“Well, she is getting to that age,” Fate offered. “Arisa was just as bad back when she met her boyfriend.”

“That’s not the point!” Nanoha snapped, eyes blazing as she sat up straighter on the couch. “That boy is trouble and he’s going to get her into trouble! I’m not gonna let that happen!”

Fate almost cringed. This certainly wasn’t what she was expecting when she came home. Her god-daughter had a lover, and it was making her best friend act very much like the demon Vita often called her. “He can’t be that bad, can he?” she asked, trying to appeal to Nanoha’s common sense. She had experience in this sort of thing. “I mean, you certainly gave me a chance, didn’t you? Not to mention Vita.”

“I’d love to give him a chance! I’m sure he’s a wonderful guy deep down!”

This time Fate did cringe at the sarcasm dripping from Nanoha’s words.

“Every vehicle that boy’s touched seems to blow up by the end of the week!” Nanoha growled. She stood up so suddenly from the couch that she had to snatch up her towel as it tried to slip off her damp body. She angrily tied it back together as she began pacing. “He’s avoided actual trouble with the law by the skin of his teeth, him and his friends, but if he keeps this up he’ll land in jail and I’ll be damned if I let Vivio be by his side when he does so!”

“Nanoha! Please, calm down!” Fate pleaded. Nanoha stopped her pacing to regard her friend. “I can… I can ask Teana to put a watch on him! We can talk this out with Vivio when she gets home, I’m sure she’ll be back tonight and we can talk to her then. Together.”

Nanoha paused, regarding the idea in her head before finally nodding. “Fine. That’ll work.”

She glanced about, the silence between them growing awkward. “… sorry for yelling,” she finally said, looking sheepish. She hooked a hand in her towel.

Fate smiled. “It’s okay. Really, it’s okay. Though I dread imagining what you would do if Vivio lost her virginity.”

Instantly Fate knew she said the wrong thing. Nanoha froze on the spot, the flush in her cheeks from her anger draining away until she was as pale as a sheet. “I never even considered that,” she whispered. “Oh, by God she better not have!”

Fate sighed. As Nanoha once more exploded in motherly rage, she only had one thought in her mind:

It was the sound of a motorized engine quickly growing louder that first caught Fate’s attention. The blond-haired woman looked up from the dishes she was rinsing off, cocking her head to the side to listen. Loud as it was getting, she could tell from the noise of the engine that whatever was making it was slowing down. And if she was right… it was slowing down at the house? That’s odd. Nanoha didn’t say someone was coming over today, she thought idly as she turned the sink off and wiped her hands dry on the towel. Maybe it slipped her mind?

Fate had only just returned to Cranagan from a relatively short off-world investigation last night, after all. Still, Nanoha usually lets her know about these things. The engine sound died out as it cut off, in front of the house, and Fate was already headed for the door. There was a knock as she reached it, and she opened the door.

The person standing before her, just outside the threshold, was certainly not anyone that Fate had expected. A teenage boy, maybe fourteen or fifteen, stood before her, and with an old motorcycle was parked on the sidewalk a little ways behind him. He was a bit tall, and had a fierce-looking expression on his face, which held narrow, gray eyes and a cocky grin framed by locks of silvery hair held back by green and black bandanna. Large headphones hung on his neck, and a green jacket with black flame designs hung over a black, Jolly Rodger-emblazoned shirt and orange khakis, also with their own flame design around the shins.

The delinquent before her raised a hand—she noted a number of rings on it, as well as a band of linked gold on his wrist—and gave her a saucy little salute, his feral-looking grin still plastered on his face. “Yo! Is Vivio around?” he asked. His pronunciation of her name sounded off, like he didn’t say it all that often.

Fate blinked. He knew Vivio? If he were one of her friends, Fate would know about him—either from her or Nanoha; Vivio never failed to talk to her mother about meeting a new friend. Fate was positive she’d never seen this boy in her life. “She is,” she said after a moment, looking wary. “May I ask who’s asking after my daughter?”

“Name’s Kurt Grendel,” he introduced himself as he lowered his hand, placing them both on his hips. If he felt anything about Fate identifying herself as Vivio’s mother, he didn’t show it—that grin never left his face. “I’m—”

Any further words from the boy were cut off as they both heard the telltale pounding of footsteps as Vivio rapidly descended the staircase from her room. There was certainly no way she or Nanoha had missed the sound of the engine, but since Nanoha was taking a midday bath after working all morning… well, obviously Vivio had been expecting this boy. The girl was wearing a two-layered outfit, a teal sundress laid out over a short-sleeved white dress. A thin choker was tied to her neck, and laced up sandals adorned her feet. Instead of her usual twintails, Vivio had two braids on either side of her long hair. A purse hung off her arm, and Fate could see one of Sacred Heart’s plush ears sticking out from underneath its flap.

“Ah, Kurt!” she said cheerfully, brightening up as she saw the delinquent boy.

“Hey, Vi!” the boy said, raising a hand in greeting as the girl brushed past Fate and hugged him tightly, causing the off-duty Enforcer to blink.

“Vivio, who is this boy?” she asked.

“Kurt’s my boyfriend, Fate-mama!” the cloned girl said, releasing him and standing at his side, his arm still around her shoulders.

“… boyfriend.”

“When did this happen? Does Nanoha know?” Fate asked, turning her head aside as she looked at Vivio.

The overhead lights of the spacious-looking yet sterile-feeling interrogation room of the rehabilitation facility hummed with life with nary a flicker. A pair of guards flanked the only door in, and two figures sat on opposite ends of the stainless steel table, one of them clad in white scrubs and his feet propped up on the table, a candy bar in hand. The sight was quite familiar to him, but unlike last time, the Zero boy wasn’t around, nor was there a bomb in his neck waiting to go off.

It was hardly a secret that the Time-Space Administration Bureau treated any prisoners and detained suspects well. They weren’t mistreated, they were fed regularly, they were given medical attention when in need, and if they proved cooperative, their rehabilitation centers were rather pleasant to stay at. Still, this wasn’t a pleasure that Kurt Grendel had ever expected to have been granted when he was under the watchful eyes of Special Duty Section Six. Nor was he even aware that he had been granted the privilege of having visitors.

Though given the furious expression plastered on the face of his current visitor, the Eclipse infectee wasn’t sure he wanted any more visitors.

Despite being dressed in the Saint Hilde’s Magic School’s distinctive green and white Second Year uniform, her long golden hair done up on the sides with dark blue ribbons, her mismatched red and green eyes full of anger and lips soured by a pout, Vivio Takamachi folded her arms beneath her breasts and looked every bit her heritage and station as the Sankt Kaiser of the Belkan Empire.

Kurt knew that the girls agreed that having the Ace of Aces herself as their watchdog was bad enough. Privately, though, he thought that her daughter—his ex-girlfriend, mind you—was worse. Especially since the irate empress was the Ace of Aces’ daughter, and her mother had little reason to like him already, as had been made painfully clear. Vivio Takamachi and Kurt Grendel hadn’t parted on the best of terms.

“Nanoha-mama was right. I should’ve known I’d find you in jail one of these days,” the girl said venomously. Oh yeah. She was pissed. “It’s a wonder that you managed this long before they threw you in the slammer.”

Kurt smiled at her barb, showing off a shark-like grin. He gestured with his snack as he replied. “I’d’ve thought you’d be impressed! Look at what it took for them to bring me in in the first place! Legendary heroes, all for little ol’ me.”

Vivio’s eyes narrowed dangerously at his sarcastic slight against her mother, and Kurt wondered if he’d crossed a line—she might not look it, and he still had the Eclipse, treated or not, but he knew from experience that Vivio was a force to be reckoned with. “I see you’re still a jerk,” she growled.

Despite his misgivings, the gang leader snorted. “Hey now, I’ve always been like this. I certainly didn’t hear you complaining of my charming personality back when we were dating,” he told her, jabbing the partially-eaten candy bar at her before taking another bite.

She bristled in response. “Like hell you were!” she yelled. Her hands slammed down on the table, causing the guards by the doors to give a start and make a move towards her; the glare she sent their way rooted them to the spot. Her glare whipped right back to Kurt and she snarled, stalking over to his corner of the table. “You used to be nice! You might’ve looked mean but you certainly weren’t an asshole like so many other guys! Then you got mean and you got into those fights, you and… and those girls—” Kurt knew then that his ex was still sore about Mariya—“and now you’re here in prison! Why the hell do you think I dumped your sorry ass!?”

Kurt grimaced and swallowed the chocolate in his mouth, then shook his head. “Why are you here, Vi?” he asked, using their old pet name for her.

Vivio’s shoulders slumped and she looked away, easily wrecking her so-called “Kaiser” stance. “Why do you think?” she asked, not meeting his eyes. Her voice was softer, the anger dying down. “We might not be together now but I heard what happened. It doesn’t mean I can’t worry about you.” She’d heard about his being infected with a dangerous virus, him and his three female friends. Nanoha and Thoma had explained the details to her. “I just thought… I thought that maybe I could try and get you to help mama and the others with this case.”

He frowned. “I’m not that nice of a guy, Vi,” he told her, but she shook her head and met his gaze again.

“I know better than that, Kurt,” she said. “Remember that night we spent? Together?”

Hell, she just had to bring that up. He twirled what was left of his snack in his hand while the memories of the two of them lying in bed came back at her mention.

“The Grendel Family’s Dream Road you told me about sounded wonderful,” Vivio said. She shook her head briefly and looked at him, her mismatched eyes full of pity and concern. “But you’ll never be able to achieve it like this. It’s just going to get you killed. I… I don’t want that, Kurt.”

Dammit, but that face of hers could be endearing. The family head distracted himself, looking off to the side with one eye as he peeled back the wrapper in his hands further. He didn’t take a bite. “I don’t know what you’re trying to convince me of, babe,” he told her. “I already did my part and look what it got me.”

He gestured to the patch on the side of his neck. Vivio frowned, and raised a hand up to it, but didn’t touch it. “Does it hurt…?”

Kurt’s grin widened. “’bout as much as what your lunatic mom did to me when she found out ‘bout what I did to you.”

Vivio’s blush was a mixture of embarrassment and anger, and she snatched her hand away and gave him a glare that he met easily. Before she could reply, one of the guards interrupted.

“Visiting hours are up, ma’am,” he said. “We have to take the patient back.”

She gave them a glance, not liking the interruption, but she sighed and nodded, just as Kurt thought she would. Vivio was a good girl like that, whatever her mother raged when they were dating.

“Good talk, Vi. Better luck next time, though.”

He was completely disarmed by her next action, though. Vivio smiled, and pressed her lips against his cheek for a second before walking towards the door. “You’re a better guy than you let on, Kurt. You’re not quite the dumbass that… that woman, ”—she really was ticked about Mariya, wasn’t she? Has to be the hair—“says you are.”

She stopped at the opened door and looked back. “See ya around, Kurt.”

He didn’t return the farewell, and only frowned when the door closed. “Whatever.”

I’m in a private room, alright? Mariya’s voice called.

We’re out of sight and okay too~. was Lolo’s call.

“Okay, okay!” Kurt cheerfully replied, sitting astride a toilet in the maritime protection facility, his foot making little circles. “Well, this’ll be my first time displaying my ability to Mariya and Quinn.”

It was time to blow this joint. He gave the Bureau his cooperation and told them who gave them their gear. He’d done his good deed for the day. Vivio’d be pissed, though. Kurt still wasn’t sure what she was trying to get at.

“You’re a better guy than you let on, Kurt.”

He shook his head. Ah, well. Maybe he could make it up to her later or something. Assuming her mom didn’t blow him up on sight. He spread his hands out and closed his eyes, and accessed his power.

“Here we go. The World is in My Hands.”

He held his arms out expectantly and was rewarded as four naked girls materialized before him with a collective yelp, and Mariya fell right into his lap, Lolo at his shoulder, and Quinn at his feet. As the violet-haired woman cradled in his arms sputtered in indignation, he could only laugh. “Hah hah hah! This is my hyper power!” he declared.

Lolo blushed and brought her hands to her cheeks behind him. “This is the evolution of the head’s ability to “send for things,” she described to her fellow girls. “I was a little worried if we’d—”

“Oi. Who’s the brat?” Quinn interrupted from Kurt’s knee. Suddenly, the boy froze.

He heard four girls yelp when he used his power, but he only meant to bring Mariya, Quinn, and Lolo. So who…?

Oh.

Oh hell.

He had his suspicions, of course, and he even knew what was wrong. His ability, Import, has conditions attached to it.

The targets had to be on the same dimensional plane as him, and it’d only been an hour or two since his visit.

The targets must be at rest, wherever they are. Say, a car parked at a traffic light, waiting for the light to turn green.

And the targets must unquestionably be his possessions. Stolen goods were considered his when they were brought back to their base, and of course, there was one little lady who’d made a surprise visit one night…

He glanced down and saw his suspicions confirmed. Kneeling on the chilly linoleum floor, missing all of her clothes as she hugged her arms around herself… was Vivio Takamachi. Mismatched eyes shot up to where he sat on the porcelain throne, Mariya still sitting on his lap naked. And they filled with rage.

Uh oh. He knew that look. The Sankt Kaiser was coming out to smite the unworthy. Unceremoniously, Kurt dumped Mariya to the floor and shot forward, darting past Vivio. If he was fast enough, he could—

His run came to an abrupt halt as a hand grabbed him by the head, fingers that were far too strong pulling at his silvery locks of hair and nearly lifting him off the floor.

“Whoa. Was she always that tall?” he heard Quinn mutter to the other girls.

“Oh, my. Her ponytail’s just like yours, Mariya! Longer, though.”

“What the hell? Is she stalking me or something? Stupid brat.”

Kurt swallowed nervously and risked a look back. Oh yeah. He was certainly in trouble now, as he took in the magnificent nude form of Vivio’s adult mode. Her eyes were hidden from him, underneath those golden bangs of hers.

“I… I uh… I can see everything, y’know?” he called back. “Aren’t you worried ‘bout that, Vi?”

“It’s fine,” she said. Her hand squeezed down painfully, and it was a wonder that he didn’t hear his skull crack. “Being seen now doesn’t make any difference.”

Her free hand lifted up, and clenched into a fist.

“That’s because… there’s only one thing on my mind. And that’s to kill you, Kurt.”

Iridescent light erupted throughout the room and around her fist. In the ensuing explosion, the voices of three women could be heard.

“Dumbass.”

“Dumbass.”

“Such a dumbass.”

The day had started out normally for Schach Nouera. Waking up, engaging in morning prayers, breakfast and then morning combat practice with the younger Sisters. But it had taken a strange turn when Carim had called her into the office and dropped some bombshell news in that the Church currently was housing another Kaiser: the last known member of the bloodline, Olivie Segbrecht.

‘Another Kaiser…’ The thought had been unreal to the nun.

There were two reasons she had been informed. One was that another trusted character can help support the Kaiser while she transitions to living in this time frame and help keep the cover story going. As for the second reason…

“I seem to recall that when the younger Kaiser had wandered off on her own in the complex about two years ago, you had immediately assumed the worst and confronted her with Windenschaft. Now imagine what would happen if you were to repeat that same action with our other guest.”

Yes, she could certainly see the Director’s point. A confrontation like that would only lead to a trip to the intensive care ward and blow this latest secret wide out into the open which is something that is not desired at this point.

Schach had wanted to know what Olivie was like since it was obvious that Carim had met the Kaiser previously. Otherwise, she would not have been sharing this information. But that question had to wait since both women had to attend to their morning duties.

The nun had managed to stay focused enough not to let the news distract her from her usual routine. She still was able to go through her combat and etiquette lesson plans. And she was still sharp enough to detect misbehaving students and discipline them. By late afternoon, she had already sent Sein to potato peeling duty again and confiscated a DSAA Inter-Middle Registration package that Chantez had managed to sneak in. ‘Honestly, that girl…’

“ASTEION, FIGHTTOO~!”

It wasn’t difficult for Schach to pick up that shrill cry from the lounge up ahead. Obviously, someone was neglecting their duties to watch one of those Belkan fantasy drama programs on television. Putting her best stern look on, she stepped into the room and got close to the individual seated on the couch to administer a verbal scolding. “What do you think you’re do-”

She had been cut off quickly as the blonde haired female seated on the couch suddenly turned around with total excitement in those green eyes. “Come, sit down and watch this with me! We’re getting close to the best part where Tio has to outsmart Greven to save his friends!”

“Shouldn’t you be focusing on your chores?”

“I know but as soon as I got a glimpse of this program with Asteion, I couldn’t help it!”

“I don’t believe that I have seen you around before. Are you new?” Perhaps that explained the lady’s poor etiquette.

“That’s right! My name’s Elina Higgins.”

The name sounded familiar and it took the nun a moment to remember the alias that the Director said was being used. “Elina… Higgins? Then you must be…!”

“Ah, so you know about that little secret,” said the other woman as her left eye briefly turned red to reveal its true colour. Before Schach could move back to properly greet the Kaiser with a low bow, her hand was held in a firm grip. “Now, remember that I’m supposed to be someone else here so there will be none of that. Do you understand?”

“Er, yes.”

A sunny smile appeared on Olivie’s face before the disguise spell went over her left eye again. “We can talk a bit later after I finish this program. Is that okay with you?”

Once again, the same response came from Schach. “Er, yes.”

“Good!”

The program came to an end after another ten minutes. Ten minutes in which Schach felt quite awkward. It wasn’t just the fact that she was sitting right beside the last Saint King. It was also because said King was a total fan of the Asteion stories and clearly demonstrated that fanaticism.

‘There’s no way the last Saint King could be this childish!’ This was the mantra that Schach kept repeating in her head to maintain her grip on the Saint King’s image that she had held for many years.

“That was fun!” Olivie leaned back on the couch. “So what did you think of that episode?”

“Uh…” She really wasn’t sure how to respond since she really didn’t pay attention to the show.

“What is that?” Without warning, the blonde woman’s hands stole away the papers that Schach had been carrying earlier.

“Ah! That is…!” She totally forgot to throw out Chantez’s registration package from the DSAA. “That’s just a registration package for a combat tournament. It’s called the Inter-Middle and it’s very well known around here for younger mages between 10 to 19 years of age to demonstrate their skills.”

“So this Inter-Middle Tournament is what you people use to assess combat talent these days?” asked Olivie as she continued flipping through the pamphlet. Even though she couldn’t read a word of it, some of the photos showed different young girls engaging each other in magical combat.

“Yes, it is.”

She paused for a moment as her eyes took on an odd gleam. “You know, I can probably pass for someone around 19 years of age.”

“What?! You cannot be serious about entering the Inter-Middle! It’s not a tournament for seasoned warriors!”

“But come on!” whined Olivie. “All those exotic and new fighting styles are out there just waiting to cross fists with me!”

“And going out there in public using your combat style and magical powers would defeat the entire purpose of trying to keep you concealed for the time being! We have to abide by the Director’s decision on that!” Schach was really hoping the other woman would see reason.

“It really is too bad. Then again, it wouldn’t be appropriate if we older folk interrupted the fun of the younger ones.”

Thank goodness for small miracles. “That’s true. The younger mages should be the ones to get this valuable experience.”

“In that case, perhaps I should get Touma to participate. It will be a good way for him to get a true taste of battle and I can get involved as a coach or something!” She noticed the clock’s display. “And he should even be coming back from school any minute! I’ll go ask him now and get started on filing these papers!”

“Huh?! Wait…!” This isn’t the outcome that Schach had envisioned for this particular conversation.

“Thank you very much!” Off Olivie went, giddy as a school girl to get her son registered for the tournament.

And once again, Schach was forced to go back to her mental mantra to keep her sanity.

‘There’s no way the last Saint King could be this childish!’

Nice turn out on Kaiser Mom's latest chapter. I find the story is getting more interesting.


I was wondering are you going to introduce Olivine to Carim's and Hayte's love of cosplay, it would be interesting to see her reaction, especially since she knows about the wolkenritters past. She see's why they changed after all being dress up dolls can be slightly humiliating for them

Hey everyone. I have been working on a file that has links to pages where nanoha fics have been posted, given the over 2000 pages. Anyway these consist even of stories I do not like, but dose not contain all the links to every story. Before we get started I would like to apologize for double posting.

WHile I was listening to the Nanoha sound stage from the first season I realized that while Hayate has her knights she doesn't really have a parental figure and it is doubtful that the knights have that sort of relationship with hayate.


My challenge is write a story after A's concerning Hayate and her need of comfort of a parental figure, which can be admiral's Leti, Lindy, or Grahm, or anyone from Nanoha's family(excluding Nanoha) . It can be about her lonlyness or if she is getting over her head.


Examples of stories is A parents job found on fanficiton, by death curse, I think?
