It's ok. I'm not exactly liking the anime's progress. The story should be focus on the brother and the deity instead. The MC is so damn boring...^^

Inari is the only reason any of the relationships in this series exist. She is the catalyst that not only helped start them, but also helps them develop further over time. Without her you aren't going to get your Uka x Touka, so deal with it.

Ah yes I like the Touka/Uka tandem as well. Maybe if we're lucky they'll get a spin off series or something. I guess some people find the charm in Inari/Tanbabashi, but I couldn't exactly say the same thing.

'Inari' sounds to plain, too cheap, and doesn't cover the premise of the show, which is basically about love (koi), and more specifically the kind of love that Inari made a wish for, thus I think InaKoi covers all the basics, which is why I voted for that.

As for the show itself, it seems that our main two girls are in a lot of hot water now that Sumizone made the same wish Inari did and apparently got it granted, too.

It hasn't been granted yet. The divine power was still in the process of acting when the episode ended. I don't count the wish as granted until she actually gets the result she's wished for.

In manga there is slightly more focus on Touka and Uka. Considering Inari is only 10 episodes long I can't say it's inherently wrong, though me to would appreciate more of it.

Inari running around with her powers was the primary reason Amaterasu wanted her to train in that for years wasn't it. So it does go to show there was a reason Amaterasu wanted that training.

But I do agree Uka and Touka's relationship and it's development is more interesting

I think the latest episode might have worked better without the exaggerated expressions and slapstick comedy...the mood swings in this episode were a little too abrupt for me. First there's this muscle guy acting like a clown and in the next moment, Sumizome is crying and showing her vulnerable side in front of "Keiko". It's supposed to be a precious moment but the slapstick comedy before that makes it difficult to appreciate...

Some developments also felt unnatural/rushed, especially the Sumizome/Keiko dynamic which I liked much better in the manga. On the other hand, I should be grateful that they are rushing it, otherwise I wouldn't see Sumizome's story animated at all in just 10 episodes

Which is pretty much not how any stereotypical "wish" in fiction ever works, but okay.

Hence, "be careful what you wish for."

Well she hasn't gotten any result. Note, I didn't say the result she wanted I said the result she wished for. After all, Inari didn't get what she wanted, when she made the reversed version of this wish, but she got what she wished for. At present, however, Sumizome has gotten neither what she wanted nor what she wished for. In order to count a wish as granted there has to have been some effect. The power is rushing around but it hasn't done anything yet. The wish hasn't been granted, it's being granted.

Yes, the distinction is important.

Inari got herself into yet another mess.
Nice save Inari!
I was surprised to see how much she has grown.
It was nice that Maru & Sumizome finally found common ground ^^
I really didn't like seeing those two act all awkward.
Looks like Inari's brother is starting to accept Uka ^^
Is there a romance brewing? LOL
Really nice episode.

The issue at the end of the previous episode and the beginning of this one was a key point in three areas. It's significant in the issue with Inari and the divine power, showing how the power is evolving (or she's unconsciously taken more from Uka) to allow her to do other things than just change her own form (there's another reason it's important, but I won't go into that now). It's key in Sumizome's character development, breaking her past this point of depression and allowing her to realize that she doesn't need to turn into another person in order to try to become closer to the one she loves. And, arguably most importantly, this shows Inari's character development since the beginning of the series, how much she has grown since she was the girl who wished to become someone else.

All of thse things intertwine: had Inari's character not grown in the way it did, Sumizome might not have realized that turning into another person isn't what she really wanted, and without both of those factors Inari might not have been able to prevent the divine power from causing something irreversible. And the effect on Uka had Inari not stopped the power from going out of control could have been... significant.

Another lovely ep - I really like this series when it just goes for simple narration and adaptation as opposed to extra emphasis placed on something or trying too hard to do things. Actually, when it os rather like Inari, come to think of it. ^^

Definitely many heartwarming interactions to appreciate here - admittedly I am a sucker for this kind of thing, though.

Good episode. The last episode had me a little worried about the direction but this episode managed to pull itself out of that quite well. And more ToukaxUka is always nice.

Not quite Gingitsune levels of good though. Sumizome's crush and friendships don't quite have the same emotional weight that the characters in Gingitsune had.

Just another good episode, the cliffhanger was resolved quite easily, and I'm liking Inari's development.
One thing I just noticed, Sanjo is more "handsome" than Tanbabashi

"Not sure how you missed the 'carbonated' part."

haha I love Inari XD
She's still a bit naive and innocent, but not totally clueless, which makes her cute and interesting.

Honestly the part of the story with Inari and her friends is getting a bit boring. Touka/Uka ftw. Frustrating but hilarious to see Touka fail to get the hints.
