Well, just finished reading vol 1 and vol 2 chapter 1. My comment for this series, it seems to toward becoming your usual harem comedy story with a unique plot advancer. It's above average and better than half of the harem LN series out there, but nothing special so far. The writing style is quite good though for a harem series which usually has a very very simple and boring writing style

As for character, I like Touka the way she is right now when she acts more like a friend toward Shidou than if she acts like the usual harem heroines(which is inevitably will happen). Although, somehow I get the feeling that the author make Touka too "dumb". I mean

Anyway, if jonathanasdf don't mind, I can answer some spoiler since I already skimmed through all 4 volumes(skipping all the antics, only reading the plot points).

Maybe its all actually a form of virtual reality that has no bugs, giltches and anything like that with kotori being a game creator or something.

just my guess.
i think kiriko is the first spirit that MC concuer when he still kid.
that why kiriko make the organization to support MC to conquer spirit that comes to japan.

So I read the chapters that are up on BT. It has me interested and the character switch that Kotori did caught me off-guard. I do see myself getting tired of her "I'm better than you" attitude when I read more.

Well, I prefer Tohka to her, but that's just my personal opinion.

The girl designs are quite nice. I'm enjoying the story so far though like Shidou I think the game is a terrible teaching method.

I mean Spoiler for Touka: I understand her not understanding anything about human since she's a spirit, but how can she not doubt Shidou's intention of befriending her even a bit when he and her sister talk about the spirit capturing plan openly in front of her. It's kinda OOC too since she seems to doubt human a lot in the first volume.[ As for Kotori, it's normal that she doesn't feel worried at all even when Shidou get shot since Spoiler for Shidou: for some currently unknown reason Shidou seems to be able to regenerate himself from dead, which Kotori commented by saying even if Shidou get a game over, she can just restart the game(of capturing spirits). . Besides, Spoiler for Kotori: Being a spirit herself, she might know something more that make her not worried about Shidou in the mission.
