Well, I'd be frustrated if she does not get the role in this arc. They have come such a long way from a rookie mangaka duo to this stage, overcoming one crisis after another, and finally getting THE perfect manga for them. Blowing another chance because of some obscure fat guy spreading rumours would be a disappointment of epic proportion.

Assuming she does get the role (I am 75% certain that she will), I think Bakuman will go on for a while yet. The manga has covered virtually everything about drawing manga. So naturally it has to move on to the new topic of adapting manga into an anime. Depends on how the authors handle it, Bakuman may still continue for quite a while. My guess is somewhere between 12 to 18 months.

I give out 2 choices that I want. OFC their stupid marriage is drag out for to long and was later ignored for a long time during the middle arc.

Either want more drama + sadness from failing or wrap this up now! OR give my Iwase some screen time and maybe a hubby for her!

Thank goodness their dream finally realized. If they keep dragging the dream for another 100 chapters or god-forbid 500 chapters (I'm looking at you One Piece) I think I will curse Bakuman to hell. My weakness is that I can't tolerate long-running series without a sight of when they are going to accomplish the dream, so I'm quite pleased that Bakuman achieved it less than 200 chapters in.

But I don't what Bakuman to end yet. I want to read the post-marriage life of Mashiro and Azuki! However the main driving force of the plot is now gone so I really don't know what Bakuman is going to do now. Maybe they will focus on Reversi being No 1 and then stop there.

This has been in the making for like 170 chapters and it was just epic.

Mashiro and Miho make one GAR couple,looking forward to the wedding.
I want to see a post wedding life.Revesi is doing really well,but it will not have a long run so maybe next they'll try to really make a long running flagship manga.

However I've got to wonder,if the other candidates made a mistake,why didn't Mashiro and Takagi notice it and look surprised when the director mentioned it?
Don't they know their own work?
