Well just finished it, it was pretty nice and thought provoking. An AI that's become human and human that are degenerating into AIs
Best of all that ass!!! Oh and this poster was EXTREMELY misleading regarding the cast. |

This imo actually adds more context to the ending in Gaim. Previously there was still some discussion about whether his intention was to portray Sagara as neutral or evil. I think we can say definitely say now Sagara and his whole evolving races through destruction is certainly in the latter category regardless whether he believed himself to be neutral or not.

I found it a great contrast how the administrators of Diva acted even less human than Frontier Setter, when under their "management" humanity as they define it has more or less stagnated, with those saved as data living the rest of their existences in an idyllic "prison". "Forever"? They're deluded if they truly believe that.
Compare this to Frontier Setter, who despite being an AI, started to dream about what's out there, enough to start chasing its goal despite the length of time it would take to put everything in working order again.

It must have been written by Urobuchi's non-evil twin or something.
![]() Seriously speaking, perhaps he's finally realizing his outlook on life is just the whining of a little kid who doesn't have enough life experience. People grow up, after all.

And it is fairly upbeat -- even Angela realizes that her world-view was extremely limited, and while she complains to Dingo about the world, she also can see the possibility in the world in the wake of all that she's experience. See her vision of a green oasis, for example.
Contrast this to the status quo of the Diva management.

Indeed Ledo and Angela are pretty similar characters.
