Noting how I love Haruhi but I ~kinda disliked the Genderbent Haruhi Project. I can concur.
Or maybe because I was "a hater" at the time? And besides, a female Satoshi sounds like a more energetic Mayaka to me. Minus the Oreki-"hate" of course.

It amuses me that this is the longest thread so far, besides the general discussion thread. Of course, I'd expect by the next episode, that record to be surpassed easily.
The way I see it though, Satoshi would be the most Genki out of the entire group, and probably bearing the most Sueish elements of all. Yuri Fans would be reading alot more Yuri Subtext between Female Houtarou and Female Satoshi, then they do for their male counterparts. Houtarou would be closer to the Emotionless girl Archtype, the most cynical and jaded of the lot, a lazy but intelligent slacker. I'd imagine what'd be unique though, is that we'd hear the internal monologues of that particular Archtype. I'd imagine for that alone, fans would be hailing her as an interesting character, because it's very rare we actually hear the internal thought processes of that particular Rei/Nagato Archtype. Cross Kyonko's Snarkiness with some of the outward physical and emotional vibes given by the likes of Yuki Nagato, Kanade from Angel Beats and so on. Then make that Character THE Protagonist, where we see the world from her Point of View. Which, Houtarou's philosophy might be one viable motivation behind such behavior. Eru would be the outwardly Scholarly, but very Bishounen. He'd be a Prince Like character, only that he has very large eyes, is very persistent, and very good at getting his way. Very irritatingly so though. Add some of the occasional ditziness of his original counterpart, and you'd get male Eru. Methinks he'd be one of the more disliked characters. I'd see Male Mayaka as more of the Straight man in the entire club. Unfortunately, I'd imagine that in a Genderbend context, some might be speculating that he's Tsundere for Houtarou. |

THIS, and I also think there is a similarity between Female Houtarou and Fujioka Haruhi in terms of how they view the world around them. Although personality wise, Houtarou is more similar to Ayanami Rei.

But I've always imagined a Female Houtarou as fitting the Emotionless Girl Stereotype fairly closely, from her possible outward behavior. Only, in any Genderbending fic, we'd get to see the story from the PoV and are privy to the internal thought processes of an outwardly Emotionless Girl/Kuudere, something I don't think has really been done often, if at all. |

Even as is, the third pic is pretty good. The breast implants there are impressively done.

Where the genderbent character is often very different in appearance from the original character, truly going "all the way" in changing the character's gender. Just think of Kyon vs. Kyonko, for example. I get what you're saying, though.
