Depends on the domination level of course. Some society are plain nuts, other are similar to what we have now but gender inverted.

Contrary to illustration and anime, Tabane is described similar to Kyuukai, her beauty is eroded by stress and lack of proper sleep. She has wrinkles on her face and skin. (yes, ironic)

Inami and Ichika are sitting on the floor, on opposite sides of a low table with their respective ceramic cups of hot herbal tea.

“That was refreshing…” Ichika remarks as the two, dressed in identical grey yukatas, takes another sip of tea.

“Yeah. I totally forgot the last time I went to a hot spring bath…”

“Also Ichika, if I may ask…”

“Yes?”

“How was it for you when you enrolled in the IS Academy?”

“How… you say…”

“I mean like, are there stuffs like entrance exams that the students usually would have to go through before they are successfully enrolled?”

“Oh. Yes, yes there is. Though it doesn’t exactly involve any writing…”

“Really now?”

“Yeah! Basically it’s a short series of test to determine your compatibility with the IS system.”

“Any chances that it would involve any form of combat?”

“There is, actually. The final stage of the test would involve pitting the student against an instructor…”

“I see…”

“Why do you ask? Are you re-considering the suggestion earlier?”

“Ah, not exactly. Like I said, I can’t pilot an IS… Even though I have a personal machine, it’s not an IS despite being built with their technology.”

“If you put it that way… I suppose I can understand your concerns.”

“Yeap. It’s gonna be weird to see another male in the Academy piloting a non-IS machine, built from IS tech…”

Ichika nods and heaves a sigh while the guest room door slowly slides open, with Cecilia standing on the other side, wearing a blue yukata.

“Wah! Inami, Ichika-san!”

“Sup? And what’s with the ‘Wah!’?” Inami answers her greeting.

“Err… Nothing! I thought you boys were still in the bath.”

“We’ve been slacking here for the past twenty minutes…”

“Is that so? We’re you waiting for us the whole time?”

“Not entirely, we’re just talking about stuffs.” Ichika replies while Inami takes another sip of tea.

“Oh… well if it’s a private matter, I’ll just—”

“Nah don’t worry, it’s neither a serious nor private matter. Come take a seat, Cecilia. I’ll go get some tea for you and the rest of the girls.”

“Okay. Thanks!”

She then walks over to the table and sits on her knees while Inami walks out of the room to get another cup of tea for her.

Silence ensues between Ichika and Cecilia, as he then slightly leans forward.

“Today’s been pretty great, don’t you think?”

“Y-Yeah! Now that I think about it, the other times we hang out with them has always been during troubled times.”

“Yeap… Then again, it’s nice to see you all cheerful and bright.”

“I… I am?”

“Just something that I… well, all of us noticed as of late.”

“It’s that noticeable?”

“Ey… Well… I’ll be lying if I say it’s not.”

“Uuuu…!”

Embarrassed upon hearing his remark, Cecilia tries to apprehend her mind and keep herself calm, only to startle as the guest room door suddenly slides open.

“Ara? So this is why you left early… eh?” Lingyin asks as the she and the other girls return from the bath, wearing their respective yukatas.

“What’s that suppose to mean?” Cecilia replies while mildly annoyed by her question.

“Nothing~!”

The girls proceed to sit around the table while Tsurugi walks over to Cecilia’s side.

“Where’s Ina-kun?” She asks her.

“He went out earlier to get tea for us.”

“Oh? Guess I’ll go help him out then.” Tsurugi turns and begins to head for the door while Cecilia then calls out to her.

“That’s okay, I’ll go instead!” She then gets up and head for the door.

“Nah, don’t trouble yourself, I’ll help him!”

“It’s all right! I already got some rest while you just got here!”

“No worries, it’ll just be a quick one.”

As the two girls debate, the room’s door slowly slides open, snatching their attention.

On the other side of the door is Inami, carrying a tray with six ceramic cups of tea and a medium-sized refill jug on it with one arm while carefully opening the door with the other.

“Ina-kun!”

“Little help with the door please?” He asks while seemingly struggling to keep the tray balanced.

“Right!” Cecilia quickly slides the door open while Tsurugi offers to carry the tray for him.

“Thanks, you two.”

Both girls simply nod with a cheery smile then returns to sit at the table, with Inami and Cecilia sitting next to each other. Tsurugi places the cups on the table then proceeds to put the tray aside and sit next to him as well.

“Phew~! So yeah… How’s the day been for everyone?” Inami breaks the short silence among them.

“Pretty good. Seems there’s more to this town than we initially thought.” Lingyin remarks while recalling the previous time that she and the other Academy pilots came to Noshiro.

“That’s good to hear.”

“It was pretty far, then again… Worth the visit.”

“Also… Been meaning to ask this for a while…” Asks Ichika all of a sudden, aroused with curiosity.

“Yes, Ichika?”

“What do you guys plan to do from here on?”

His question arouses curiosity from his fellow Academy pilots as they look over to him and Tsurugi.

“Well, about that… I’m not so sure.”

“Still… You have the Minerva, what do you plan to do with it?”

“As of now, Ichika, I can’t really do much aside from spending time catching up with stuffs I missed.”

“Missed?”

“Yeah! Seems a lot has changed during my time in Praxidike so I decided to spend some time travelling around Noshiro with Tsu-chan.”

“Which brings up another question, where do you guys live?” Lingyin chips in, momentarily stunning him, Tsurugi and Cecilia.

“My house is pretty nearby, like just a block away from here.” Tsurugi answers as their attention shifts to Inami.

‘…Crap. I can’t just tell them that I live together with Tsu-chan! Even Cecilia didn’t take the news so well when I told her!’

His thoughts cycles through uncontrollably akin to that of a malfunctioning washing machine, trying to find a decent excuse for his residence.

‘What do I do….? They’ll prompt me again in about… three seconds! WHAT DO?’

Sure enough, after about three seconds of silence, Lingyin leans forward towards him.

“Inami…?”

“R-Right! About my residence… uum…”

Tsurugi gently touches his palm, prompting him to look at her. A small smile grows on her face, gesturing him to calm down as she answers Lingyin’s question.

“Actually…”

“…?” Lingyin looks at her, confused as to why Inami didn’t answer.

“…Ina-kun and myself are… living together.”

“…Huh?”

The Academy pilots, aside from Cecilia, widen their eyes in surprise, especially Lingyin who enters a state of shock.

“You’re… kidding, right?”

“It’s true, Ling.” Cecilia confirms the answer.

“Still, two of you… living together…? Don’t tell me you two actually—”

“NO!” Inami and Tsurugi yells their reply to her while trying to hide their embarrassment, stunning everyone in the room.

The one question he dreads to be asked with.

LOL, the scene in the end is priceless.

Maybe not to the level that male essentially servant. I think not that different than most, it just that women got the higher place due to matriarchy system.

Well, AIDS can be suppressed, sometimes cured, Cancer treatment get easier than present day due to advancement genetic engineering BEFORE I.S. even born.

Still nothing is 100% certain.

Just like IRL, some cosmetic, especially illegal/bootleg is harmful.

It was Okiura who fail to deliver, Anime FAITHFULLY follow his illustration. Then again Anime also erase all her jerkass moment.

Most common disease (though newer ones began to emerge, making it Oh crap moment), Ichika and Madoka too.

So I looked into Tabane's appearance...

As expected of Houki's own older sister, they were similar in appearance. However, what made them greatly different from each other was that Houki had bright, piercing eyes, while Tabane's eyes were lethargic looking due to lack of sleep. There were several years of black rings gathered below her eyes.

...and that's all they mentioned. I know what sleepless eyes look like, and no, they don't ruin your looks...L is an example of this.

Add that to Okiura's illustration and our current mental image of Tabane's looks isn't such a lie.

Side note - I guess Box is right. Then again, the lack of rings under the eyes is present. Also, Honne has sleepy eyes and is very attractive.

Quick question about Kanzashi's IS. It's color scheme, it seems to have this light blue and black to it, right? Or is it the "lighting" in the picture that's causing it?

The yellow I can see.

As for the purple, it's more on the "face" of the missiles than on the IS itself. Wait, scratch that. It's also the "aura" that's enshrouding the IS.

As for the white, it's probably the light reflecting off of the IS.

Sidenote:
Purple aura enshrouding the IS? Damn it! Back to the drawing board...

Oh and StratoSpear, I think I finally got somethings sorted out for the Silverback combat armor. But I want your thoughts on it, mainly because I don't want it to be too much like the Minerva.

Side note - I'm pretty sure the purple aura's just some effects and isn't canon. None of the other mechs have an aura.

@ Stratos - Putting so much ship bait only to have her lose out in the end is kind of wallbanging. She's getting more attention than Tsurugi right now.
