Yep. She ain't a spirit. She's more of an angel. More specifically a cherub. Not the baby-faced ceramic angels you see on some shelves and paintings. The kind with multiple eyes and qualities of man, ox, eagle, and lion. Look into the pic again.

Pinkish dot eyes on wings: check.
Ox horns: check.
Eagle wings: check.
Lion kneeguards: check.
Human qualities: Do I have to say it?

It makes me wonder where the designer gets their concept art from. Mind if I ask what culture this type of angel comes from?

If I remember right, the Cherubim first appear in the Bible in the Garden of Eden, to guard the way to the Tree of life.

I wonder if there is some kind of connection between this and her role in the movie.

Old testement. Described in Ezekiel 1:5 but showed up earlier. Though with the cogand all the rings she might be a wheel, Ophanim, which could link her to number 2.

I thought she was a seraph since they have six wings instead of four, eh maybe I'm confusing them, anyways as for the lion things my first thought was the japanese raijuu beast since she is wielding lightning and all.

I like her design and it has more value if Tsunako hasn't even designed her.
I also think she's not part of the tree, otherwise her number would be 6 as usual. Tobiichi had the number 1 since the very beggining and didn't turn into a spirit until volume 10. The number 10000 must have a hidden meaning. But as you, I have no clue.

From what I saw in most discussion;

'Mayuri not designed by Tsunako' conclusion came from how her first artwork released in anime artwork, not Tsunako's.
As far as I saw, still no official statement that confirmed she's not designed by Tsunako (not really a problem for me if she's not designed by Tsunako though).
