That was a very exciting chapter indeed.
Yoshida never fails to amaze me. Knowing that his real life counterpart was Death note's editor (and therefore Ooba and Obata's previous editor) makes me wonder if he's as manipulative in real life too

I hadn't thought about this until now, but Yoshida and Hattori are like the only two editors really good at their job. Everyone else seems somewhat bumbling and ineffective by comparison, especially Miura. This chapter reaffirmed that, and it was fitting that Yoshida was the one to rally the editorial department that would have been in disarray otherwise.

This was indeed my favorite chapter in a really really longwhile, hell, maybe it's my favorite chapter of all bakuman,I enjoyed it that much. Someplace I'm rooting for eiji but I doubt he'll win. Also I thought one of the editors, can't remember who, brought up a good point:if eiji gives his manga what seems like a real end, wouldn't it be weird for it were to continue? So,if Aruchi Muto make their manga less mainstream would the fact that it's controvertial be less of a problem for an anime adaptation? Just give it it a late night airing slot instead of a morning one?

Eiji will win. as much as i want Muto to beat him eiji is the super Genius that will lose at the end of the mnaga. Muto will get close. 2nd place with less than a single degit number of votes.
then eiji will come back even stronger.

^that would be the std development, but i rlly hope we don't get the generic "battle" shounen ending, where the genius loses to the guys who worked hard.
I mean c'mon, not only is he THE genius of the series, he actually started working RIDICULOUSLY HARD. All's fair in love and war, but in a shounen mag, the true shounen type manga should pretty much prevail =/// Making PCP even less mainstream kinda means going more into the seinen direction tbh. This point can be argued about, but what social psychology taught me it's pretty much useless, and i have a real hardcore argument in favor of my point. |

Kinda lost...Racer giri was #3, with Eiji on top and Muto at 4th, Boku-tsuu at 5th and Seigi no Mikata at 6th...so whose manga was at 2nd place and where did it go when places 3 and 4 respectively rose up a spot? 5th or 6th place when Hiramaru dropped to 7th?
