I didn't find it funny, and neither did I take it seriously either. I suppose it's because some of those lines I have already read somewhere already. And the ending is somewhat predictable

It depends on preference, I guess. I find a good joke is just as good as a good picture that's funny. I have been cheered up many times by the pictures in this thread, but I quite agree that a lot of them are just strange... and aren't funny.

Otherwise, NoSanninWa already made clear that he wasn't prohibiting picture posting... He only said to choose the pictures carefully and not to post an excessive amount as it takes up bandwidth.
