But in all seriousness, it was a pretty soul searching episode after all the shit that's happened. Both of them really needed therapy. I really liked the lighting and the music was very well done; was at just the right volume and for some reason I feel this is a lost art.

Late to watch episode 18:

Really nice episode. Rem really save Subaru this time, I think he would have been severely depressed or have gone crazy if demon meido was not at his side. For now, I think Rem has had more character development than Emilia at this point. Maybe Emilia will catch up and become more developed as a character in later episodes.

The way Rem talked Subaru out of despair was so touching. The poor guy has really been through too much crap and unsurprising wanted to run away from it all with the cute maid (I mean I can see the temptation ), but instead of taking advantage of his weakness to get him all to herself (and lets be honest, she not have a hard time getting him into her bed in that situation), Rem instead focused on fixing him and his broken ego.

Completely agree with this.
