Morganmett is important to Aladdin, but not because of the reasons you mentioned ("Magician/Magoshuatt Pride"). Aladdin also mentioned old man Morgan "felt" like Granny because he was very, very kind to him and Titus (but only to magicians as he found out later). Thus, in a way, Morganmett's treatment of Aladdin specifically, somewhat touched Aladdin like Granny did. However, Aladdin was opposed to what Morgan was doing to non-magicians THROUGHOUT the arc despite that, therefore you cannot say Aladdin brought Morgan's world view totally. In the end, Morgan make huge mistakes and caused great suffereing. That does not mean that whatever "good" side of Morgan, which Aladdin saw and experienced first hand, is necessarily invalid or become elicpsed in his heart by his terrible mistakes. Morgan is important to Aladdin for more than just his "positive traits" as well. This is especially true considering he knew what happened at Alma Toran. Morgan's mistakes and subsequent sincere regret is important for Aladdin to develop a personal stake to preventing a repeat of Alma Toran, as he only knows Alma Toran from what Ugo showed him (and not actually lived it himself). Morgan also showed Aladdin that you don't have to be a psychopath/hate everyone to cause hell on earth, sometimes even just "unequal love" will cause that. Read the manga again, especially when they entered the medium. If Granny showed Aladdin the rejection of hate can stop tragedies, Morgan showed Aladdin that unequal love can cause tragedIes. There is no reason for one to eclipse the other in Aladdin's worldview. Aladdin was plenty distaught when Mu shattered Granny's staff. Though the HUGE WAR around did not give him too much time to build a grave and cry and whatever you want him to do to show it is significant to him, he had shown many times that Granny's staff is importrant to him elsewhere, so my opinion is that we don't need to go back there again. The inheriting of Morgan's staff doesn't even mean that what Granny taught Aladdin is "rejected" or "forgotten", funny you should draw such a conclusion. Not to mention the staff's final meaning is basically the chancellor's final message, which is to find a way to save all the people that had fallen into the black rukh and died. I can't see why you see the staff's meaning as anything else. There is also no indication of any age bloopers in this character. Ohtaka's omake pages specifically mentioned Morgiana's physical changes now that she is older (by about 2 years). Last edited by Rainrir; 2013-10-28 at 05:53. |

Kind of disappointed Aladdin got sidelined but I guess it's not a bad thing to focus on the other characters once in a while. Glad Mor is part of the expedition. She can watch over her husbando Alibaba.

It's not necessarily a bad thing, but the fact that the story is pretending that Reim is somehow wrong to be doing what they're doing and that Aladdin is completely right and not biased whatsoever, acting only in the best interests of everyone is extremely aggravating. Aladdin is not divested of personal attachments and the manga shouldn't pretend that he isn't. But it does and as a result he's flawless and perfect and doesn't make mistakes. If he fails for any reason it's because he's not all-powerful. And if there's anything to learn from the Magnostadt arc, it's that hatred overrides love. If Mogamett really loved his magicians, he wouldn't have put them into harm's way like he did, but because of his enormous ego, he flat out refused any offer put to him. He didn't present alternatives. He didn't say he'd clean up his act as far as how he treated neighboring countries. His way was the right way no matter what and no dirty goi was going to talk him down. And Aladdin enabled him. The magicians' anger, hatred, and pride was Aladdin's foremost concern. He didn't care what they had done or what they were doing. He didn't care about Reim's dog in the fight. All he cared about was babying Magnostadt. Magnostadt and the Kouga tribe had faced the same exact situation, but rather than take what he had learned to heart in the latter, he completely disregards it because he suddenly has a god complex because of all the new power he's gained since then and that he simply likes Magnostadt better than Reim. Worst of all, he doesn't act like this is the case. He pretends to be above at all, that he's doing what is best for the world. It was sickening. And don't compare Mogamett to Granny. She's light-years ahead of him. If anything, his parallel was the young Kouga tribesman who's wife was cut. Full of anger, strong and powerful, placed in a position to set things right with his own strength, yet one of them restrains himself for the sake of the tribe, while the other one tries to destroy the world. |

The new chapter is fun, it seems like Mor is slowly getting rid of her inferior complex . And Kouen is playing a smart move by requesting Alibaba as his escort at Balbadd. He's trying to gain good PR image by using Balbadd' hero - Alibaba.
The last page kinda confirm Alibaba's future household vessels. Of course, he will need more than just Amon to reach the level of Sindbad ( or Kouen at least ). That's just his standard post: bashing Aladdin ( he's a bad character and everything he do is bad...blah blah...) and any page used for Morgiana is wasted. If any of you have ever visited the Magi thread in Narutoforums.com then you may realized how much he sound just like the guy called "Wesley" - Luckily, ppl of that site treat that guy as a troll now and ignore him.

Alibaba will never be on Sinbad's and En's level. There's a certain amount of talent and ability you're born with. It can't be trained and it can't be taught. Alibaba did end up with an odd way around that hurdle but it involved being absorbed by a black djinn who also just so happened to be his best friend. If what amounted to a freak accident hadn't happened, Alibaba would be weaker than every other metal vessel user in the series, aside from Hakuei.
As he is now, he's probably better than everyone aside from Sinbad, En, and maybe Mu. Bottom-line, he's never going to get to Sinbad's level. It's impossible and it frankly doesn't matter. The best thing about Alibaba is Alibaba. Not how many magical items he has or who he can beat in a fight. |

Despite that Aladdin supposedly to be powerful after a time-skip, but he definitely doesn't give me the impression that he was stronger than Alibaba (Bankai Mode). I mean, during the "Medium" fight, I can't remember what had he contributed in that battle.

I thought it was explained pretty well in 83, by focusing and amplifying one type of magic, a metal vessel achieves a single great offensive power, whereas magicians fight based on attributes and their own specialization.
If a metal vessel's normal offensive ability (no extreme magic) has a value of 100, Aladdin's Halharl Infigar would have a value like 40, with his first type magic being the highest point of a bell shaped normal distribution. Becoming stronger as a magician is about knowing and learning about magic, if Aladdin after Magnostadt would fight his past self before Magnostadt, the current Aladdin would win 10 out of 10. True that Aladdin didn't fight, though I remember him using Harharl Infigar once or so, my guess is he mostly supported Kouen and Alibaba off screen, since those two weren't all that exhausted before Sinbad&co arrived. But it could have been due to the volcano. His and Yunan's role was to gather the metal vessel users, without Aladdin the world would have ended around 187, without Yunan 194 would have been the end. In the end, even the metal vessel users with their great offensive power were only buying time until Mogamett hesitated enough for Aladdin to go into the medium.

I assumed that is Kouen ? If so, he need to update his data. Aladdin doesn't have any interest in candy and ballooons. What Kouen needs for bribing is a harem of beautiful buxom women

New Sinbad chapter, quoting myself:
Quote:
He's a bit too young to be the Imuchackk chief, could he be Hinahoho, one of Sinbad's eight generals? Why do I feel the "beautiful women" he want's to propose to will have a body like Elizabeth or Magaret, the hostess Alibaba keeps getting? Jafar also makes an appearance at the end.

On the Sindbad's new chapter, we now have hard proof that he has always been a chivalrous pervert ( try to court a muscular 13yo girl as well as a princess with bad attitude ) . I think this big guy is probably Hinahoho or the future chief of Imuchak tribe.
And Jafar made his appearance with his organization - totally not "Hashashin" . Anyone know what "Sham lash" means in Arabic ?
