Pretty much. It's good that she's determined not to see herself as a victim, and "not committing suicide" is also a choice, but it's not like she was an equal partner or anything. Even the screenshot you posted in the first post doesn't exactly say "accepted his request." That's some high-quality spin doctoring right there.
