It's a softball - Minori is in the softball club.
Plus she the character with the wackiest ideas, seems perfectly natural for her to try to balance a ball on her head character wise - I mean she is the one that tried to make a giant pudding in a bucket.....

Sometimes when characters are coloured they appear different compared to the manga. This is probably because you cannot replicate those soft and harsh black/white shades in manga. Try finding colour pages of Toradora and comparing it with standard pages.

Try to look again at the drawings, there is a distinct difference between the manga and the anime art and the coloring scheme is not a justifiable factor in saying that it is the reason why they are different. If you request for it I'll color Taiga from the manga and you will see how different it is from the anime. Even Ryuuji's eyes are different in the three medias. |

I think it’s not at a color transition issue. The problem many are experiencing (myself included) is related directly to the character designs (how characters look, the form and shape of their eyes, the expression of their faces, and the color palette to some extent). In this regard, Taiga doesn’t feel quite right compared to the manga/novel. I reckon that it’s not possible to use character designs that are very close to the manga/novel without obliterating the budget, but just don’t give me this —which in turn, puts into doubt whether the anime is going to satisfactorily adapt the source material, not necessarily the manga.

I consider myself a bit of a Taiga fanboy, so standard cliche' fanboyism dictates I'm going to say all of you are pessimists, your grounds of fear are stupid, and the anime will make you love yourself for watching it, yet, hate yourself for doubting it .
Seriously though, the animation style isn't an issue for me(love it actually, though not better than the manga). If it was on the level of Kyou no Go no Ni, I could understand why ppl would think that. The only thing I'm concerned about is the fluidity of the animation, which I can only see when they showcase the trailer. I REQUEST IT! I REQUEST IT ! |
