It's funny - for my second trip to Tokyo coming up this March I ended up booking into a hotel in Ikebukuro (coincidence, I swear). I never even made it there the first trip - I stayed in Shinjuku and went all over the city, but not there. I'll certainly look at the surroundings with a keener interest after watching this series.

Mika is on the verge of death due to head issues and there is no known way to cure her. Someone told Mika's parents about the legend of the Dullahan named Celty. Her parents get desperate as they search for Celty's head abroad and someone found it and sold to them. They immediately ask for the help of a special surgeon to replace the heads temporarily for Mika to live normally while her real head is stored somewhere so it won't decay and continues to live on. The reason Celty doesn't remember anything since her head was stolen and thus she forged new memories. I wonder what would happen if she does find her head.

Lots of Anri in this episode, I am pleased :3

We learn more about Anri and Harima Mika's relationship. The two seemed to be very close friends, Anri shows an album with photos of them and we see that Mika's face looked nothing like she does now, which seems to confirm our theories. We also learn that Mika was Seiji's stalker...

There's also more characters introduced in this episode. A dude who looks like a detective, a long haired girl who seems to post in the chat and the best for last: Kida's ex-girlfriend. She's at the hospital and Izaya visits her, they seem to be friends. I'm sure he's up to something...

Next episode seem to focus on the Otakus, and there'll be a lot more action. Can't wait !

I have a couple of minor questions.

When Celty is sitting at the computer that black mist comes up from her fingers when they're over the keyboard, but not otherwise. Is that supposed to be meaningful?

I know I've heard the actor who voices the street artist before. He might be Honinbou as Nvis suggests, but it's been quite a while since I've watched Hikaru no Go. Any other ideas? I can't find an entry for him in the cast list.

Sawashiro's work has really grown on me. She was pretty impressive as a teen-aged boy in Kure-nai, and I really like her performances as the landlady in Hidamari Sketch. You can hear the scratchy voice of a cigarette smoker in that role. I haven't seen many of her other roles, but this performance and her work as Shibasaki in Toshokan Sensou are especially sexy. I think it's that dark, edgy character to her voice in these roles that attracts me. She's already got a pretty long resume for someone who is only 25.

This is speculation on my part, but seems the black mist only appears when her fingers touches things without her gloves and acts as her "sense of touch" like Shinra like theorized.

As for your second question, I don't know the VA myself so, no clue.

-Were I not spoiled about 罪歌's identity I would probably go lolwhut at the chat scene, but damn it's pretty much... @_@;;
-SEKUHARA SCENE IS LOL. homg now that I see it better Anri has naisu breasts. Suzuhito Yasuda's design indeed *nods*

I really, really want to know who are the DOLLARS members now though, much more since they just dropping clues here and there without confirming it. ;; And this escapes my mind, but do we know anything about Dollars other than they being colourless and the most popular group in par with the headless biker legend in terms of 'legendary'?

Kida's narration makes me loling everytime he tried to joke. So very much. Miyano, go become a dry comedian and I'll definitely love you more-No more kuhl, introvert , ANGST ANGST ANGST EMO ANGST ANGST ANGST guy role please ;;

I always laugh reading your thoughts. It's like reading someone whose high on drugs, kinda exhilarating even for the people reading your thoughts.

Pretty much agreed on that. But, I think the first girl with glowing red eyes (the one that attacked Certy) is different from the girl at the end of the episode. It's pretty obvious with the animation design, and that the first girl has no reason to go back chasing that man. I'm definitely on question marks of the daughter's reasons though.

That would be my thoughts originally. But after I rewatched it (Watching twice since I missed some convos ) I realized that the girl that attacked Certy and the one that chased the man and attacked the gangsters are not the same D:

Other than the designs are not the same, there seems to be a not shown interval after the man is running away after Certy is attacked and the scene where he was running away from "red-eyed girl" (and well... Creepy scene involving Yellow Colour Gang members and the girl). It was not very obvious, but the scenes from when Mikado trying to help Kida until the scene where the man ran away screaming "Bakemono!!" just don't flow well when pieced with the scenes from the first minutes of the episode, as if there is a part deliberately left off. That and for what's the reason of the red-eyed girl from the first part of the episode, after attacking Certy attacked the man? If she was aiming the man from the very start, she would either surprise-attack him rather than hurting Certy seeing that the two of them did not realize she was there D:

Then again, maybe that's just me though @.@'' I'm actually still baffled why did the red-eyed girl suddenly attacked Certy for that matter unless she is just murderous D:

A bit off tangent here, but I was surprised at how this series is very popular especially for fangirls for that matter! in Japan. Random blogs I visited has lots of people complaining that the bookstore in their area don't have anymore stock in, comments on Pixiv has... Lots of complaining too about the book sold out. And Amazon ranking. Just... What just happened that it get one of the higher rank both DVD and book? @_@ Last time I checked DVD volume 1 is not really high but now... #24 in DVD and only anime DVDs that topped it are Bakemonogatari? @.@'' (Not that I don't appreciate it, but it's just wow knowing that the series is very appreciated there! God knows what episode 3 did to sadistic sides of humanity <333')

Still waiting for the DVD vol 2 release! Really want to read the gaiden novel here~ (*q*)b
