I think Haruhi Suzumiya might be popular enough to get it's own forum at this rate.

Multani2842: Is it ok if I use one of your gifs as my avatar? I am asking for this one, in particular:

However it doesn't loop properly... like Riker's sign (awesome job!)

This one is from ep. 2, Kyo-Ani is doing a wonderfull job on Mikuru (I usualy don't like too much kawai characters... but Mikuru is simply too sweet)

Wow, ep2 was much more captivating.

ep1 was hilarious, mainly for its novelty. The mst2000 format of making jokes over a B movies does get old however, so if that was going to be the whole show I was worried.

But instead it was just a taste of the adventures that the SOS-dan would have.

I think Haruhi has an awesome personality.

Watching the fullscreen dance ED, I just noticed that Itsuki seems far, far more enthusiastic about the whole thing than Kyon.

I am not sure Kyon is ever enthusiastic about anything... He is in effect, captured slave-labour.

The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya is the proper name for it I believe.

And no, I dont think the anime is licensed (or prelicensed) since this thread isn't in General Anime nor Licensed/DVD sub forums.

Gah... this is really bothering me... the OP reminds me of another song (not an J-Pop song or anything though), but I can't place it.

Particularly the parts in the beginning and the end with the "popping" instrument (sounds sorta like a synth xylophone).

Damn that's really catchy.

Just watch the 2nd ep last night and i love it. i watch the first ep and wasn't really sure what to make of it. But it was crazy enough to for me to watch ep2. This is probably the best (so far) series of the spring season.

Anyone else getting yuri vibes form Mikuru?

Not that i am complainting but wahts with all the Yuri and doggie girls this season

Not really. Mikuru joined the SOSdan not because she fell in love with Yuki, but more like "oh....so Nagato-san's here as well. That explains it."

What "it" is will be explained as the series progresses.

Watched the first episode of this today and found it hilarious. Definitely one of the few series I'll watch this season. ^_^
