An OVA adaptation for the manga Nana to Kaoru has been announced, as pointed out by Gundam Meister in this post. The OVA will be bundled with the 6th volume of the manga.

Oh wow indeed I never expected to see this animated but well OVa is better than nothing and I think in this case it would be tter than a full anime series.

Am too looking forward to this.

Would love to see some of the author's other works get the works as well.

Personally liked Koi wa Misoji wo Sugite kara more

It's also getting a live action adaption. Best they get the proper actress to portray Nana. *cough*

Aiiie, this is gonna be wierd.

The content is easier to stomach in manga form. Anime can work but they need be real careful with Kaoru's casting.

Live Action........it's either gonna be really good or really bad. No inbetween.

haha yeah, live action would be hard to pull off,
i have yet to watch the live version of "the girl who leapt through time"
i sorta did enjoy the anime movie, but i dont know if the live would be any good

lets hope nana looks as nice as she does on the anime

Hmmm, i wonder will this be hard to pull off? The manga did a good job with giving you enough material and progression in a single chap, but at the same time leaving off with a good cliffhanger, most of the time. Hopefully it wont be on the same level Kyou, Koi wo Hajimemasu, which looked like something I could draw...nah, nothing could be THAT bad. Guess only time will tell.

Girl who leapt through time is a touching calm story about a girl who happens to be able to time slip.

Nana and kaoru is about two high schoolers in an S and M relationship. Frankly it's rife for a sexploitation type adaption. Like I said, part of what makes the content work is the fact that it's manga.

Unless they make ABSOLUTELY SURE they get the actual genuine feelings between Nana and Kaoru and present them effectively it'll be a steaming pile of excrement.

HAHA i knew it was going to get animated the material is just too good for them not to do something with it. I think an OVA is good a full season is not really needed.

More importantly, who for Kaoru? They really have to get his neurotic side down but also some one for confidence. Originally I thought, Daisuke Namikawa but then how would he handle the S and M role play?

Yeah, it feel more like an omake instead of an actual great animated adaption.

They went for all the money shots... and kinda ignored all the intricate relationship dynamics between Kaoru and Nana. Kaoru really comes off as "Creepy-mura" since we don't see all the trouble he actually goes through when helping Nana with her "breathers."

Anyway, I'm just treating this as an extra that doesn't really bring anything to the table... other than some more fap material.

animation style is like a late 90s hentai... haha. i was turned off by the manga, but i figured i could try it the animation. we'll see how it goes..

It was probably good that they went with the arc that Kaoru labels her a pervert, since it allows the show to stand by itself, w/o relying on the manga's knowledge, like Kurenai did. It's nice to see Ryuuta's char designs in motion, it looked very pleasing to my eyes . Watching Nana and Kaoru gave me such an impression where I was expecting something to happen(yes, THAT something :P), which was something the manga did not manage to accomplish. The Kaoru studders and smirks were great as well as 'crybaby' antics of Nana. btw, the first statement was referring to the tears, drool, and sweat. Get your minds out of the gutter .
