Macross Frontier Movie: Itsuwari no Utahime
In Theater: November 21, 2009 Production Company: Satelight Website: http://www.macrossf.com/movie/index2.html Since the movie is about to be in theater in couple of days, I thought we could use a separate thread to put more focus on the discussion about this movie. Folks who will be lucky enough to attend a theater can share about their experience/gloat in the thread to the utter dismay of the rest of us unlucky ones. Please try to stick to the topic. For all other discussion not directly related to this movie, use the other thread. |

Kind of tired to notice right now at what sort of correction need to be made with the title. I'll check back in the morning.
And no, "F" won't be replaced with "P." I'm tired but not that tired.

Don't give TMA any more ideas......after the like-to-like live action of Keion, maybe Macross *orntier may result in something of that sort :P
Although I'd want to see them pull THAT off :P I haven't anticipated a movie like this since Star Wars and an anime like this since Code Geass R2 haha |

Is this movie supposed to have the kind of relationship to the series that Frontier considers DYRL to have relative to the original Macross - in other words, an in-universe movie based on their own series of events?

Somewhat It's a mix of old scenes from the TV series + new footage specially made for the movie. They also changed/tweaked some character relationships. You should check out the movie discussion thread about this. |
