That would probably be the anime_fin version, and I was the one responsible for the editing change. The original 1:1 translation was Bando objecting to an operation with "You want to neuter me like a cat?" and I thought it might be better to let Bando point out more clearly what KIND of operation this was. Since the talk was about his balls, I suggested the more drastic "castration" comment which also fit with Bando's outrage.

If you look at ep6 however, the sedatives given to him would be much too little for a full castration, so this indicates "only" a sterilization. Which would also make sense in the big picture, since it's only about him not having any children. Either way, he's still clearly opposed to it ^_^

Hence my comment - please don't interpret too much into the "castration" part, because this was already interpretation to begin with.

I read from earlier posts that Nyu later has her horn broken off. So what happens to her when that happens?

Her horns break off later on?? o_O The manga isn't even that far. But if it does I wonder what it'll do...The horns are part of the skull so I don't think they'll do much damage unless they are used for an antenna? It's not like what makes them a diclonius is within the horns.

I think this is all just nonsense. No such thing happened yet, AFAIK no such thing will happen, so I doubt that any discussion about it has any merit :}

notice, how on the Elfen Lied website, there is a lot of these "「Movie」" things? Is there plans to release and Elfen Lied movie? o.o Or have I completely missed the point, and movie simply refers to the TV series...

Yuka and Kouta seem to be...ergh "interested" in each other. I always thought Yuka was Kouta's cousin o.O Woah, bad translation there I guess.

I think it just means a movie clip, probably trailers/next episode previews...

I think they're just childhood friends, but even if they were cousins, that usually doesn't matter much in an anime!

Just watched Ep7 and it was somewhat disappointing.

It tried to be way to funny with Nana dropping a leg or arm a couple of times. Not to mention when she does a true "Rocket Punch". That was just so wrong. Nana and Mayu meets up and have a rather boring chitchat. Nyuu is introduced in the world of fanservice, here is a pic . And my instincts were right. Nana DID end up at Kouta's house. At least then something interesting happened, only to have the ep end there.

At least the next episode seems interesting.

Mine also says cousin... Either way, it isn't too bad... cousing marriage is even legal, and isn't classified as incest. Although I believe that they're just childhood friends.

I don't see how such a thing could be mistranslated, but it does seem weird that she seems so concerned at the beginning with him remembering her. Is it common to forget about your cousins? Seems more common to forget your childhood friend in that case. Either way i don't care.
