Liked the UBW reference. Shows how he cope up with the 'non-talented' aspect of his by incorporating, or rather, 'stealing' others' cooking in his own. And the fact that he needs the help of Takumi and Megumi to beat a 'weakened' Saitou shows how monstrous the third year elites are.

Mimasaka burning himself out tho just to help train them.

And Saitou deserves respect since he took his defeat like a man. That alone makes him a likeable character.

Also, no one noticed in one of the panel there was one female student who had a smile on her face after the outcome? Pretty sure she was the girl who had her knife taken by Subaru in the past but was given it back after Souma won all of the knives back.

Can we at least get her name or have her appear more lol

But seriously, I feel that the gorgeous art should have been used for hen..I mean, battle manga though. It feel kinda wasted on cooking manga.

Where does Saitou get the idea that Souma stands for completely opposite things compared to him, though? Aren't they are actually very similar? Or is this because of Azami?

I don't know why but I got such a nostalgia trip from the flash back to the entrance ceremonies that i almost cried.

Coincidentally Joichiro and Kiritsugu are voiced by the same person.

The magazine issue that has the latest chapter and the one that has the next chapter are both double issues. So we have to wait 2 weeks for the next chapter and then another 2 weeks for the one after. We probably have to wait until next month to see the 4th bout's matchup list.

Man those flashbacks gave me an "engame" type of feel, like it seemed that things were coming full circle and ready to start wraping things up for the conclusion of a series, I know we still have Tsukasa Rindou and Momo to deal with, but still those FBs gave the sensation that the series is reaching its closure after those 3 are defeated and the Regime is finished.

Anyway, on the chapter itself as expected Soma won no surprises there at all, and Saito took the L like a boss, very cool character, hopefully we get more of him

I have said this before but I will said this again, too soon to end. Reason being that in the author twitter back when people complain about Azami arc he said it was necessary, which is likely setup the next arc require SOuma and co. being in E10 position, and the most important of all is BLUE, which Jouichiro drop out .

The only thing I want to say about this chapter is why don't the author portray the tiredness of E10 the way Souma do ??, look, he is sweating and just having a sigh after the battle is over, I can tell he is both relieved and exhausted, if he tell he is tired next round, I'd believe it instantly without having any need for lying down or etc...

And lol for Souma drop swords and started using punch and gun midway

He's also tired because they pulled an all nighter against Subaru. A bit of rest should fix that. If the next round is happening the next day then he should be 100% back to his cheery self. But if it's happening in the same day they yeah, he needs to take a rest before he can compete again. Same with Takumi.
