Most people tend not to think about the troubles and harships of others... hell it usually doesn't hit them until its right infront of them even if it's been going on before you ever got involved

So many people can find themselves saying "man my life sucks" or "i'm the unluckiest guy in the world", or many other things of that nature, but 10 to 1 says that your life looks like paradise compared to the shit many other people have to live with.

Saji has been and continues to be the reflection of a average person... only this is an average person that had been thrown into war time situation... hell most people would have made the same damn mistakes he did if not other mistakes (though actually i should say 'some' as 'most' would probably wind up dead)

The point here, is that WE are humans too. Saying that we should be offering him sympathy even though Saji gave no sympathy to other people, is undermining your own argument.

If Saji is allowed to be unsympathetic because he is "just" a human, so can we. If thou giveth, thou shall receive.

So what you're saying is that we shouldn't be giving Saji sympathy because Saji didn't give others sympathy? Then wouldn't we be exactly like Saji? And then why would some else give us sympathy where something happens to us?

Speaking for myself, I DO give Sympathy. But only to those who I think needs it.

And anyway, claiming I am like Saji doesn't make Saji look better. I am sympathetic towards the main CB group, HRL (Wild Bear and former-Loli), AEU (Patrick+Kati), and even Union (Most but NOT Billy, Billy lost his right when he didn't seek help for Sumeragi).

Exactly like Saji we are humans. While some might not agree or sympathize with his actions they are very understandable actions for someone in his position and others will sympathize. I personally wouldn't want to be in his position and I don't know how I would react in such a situation but I can certainly sympathize with him. The average person would probably react fairly similar to Saji if not even worse in the situation. Even those who hate on Saji I don't think would react much better than him in that situation.

If I act like Saji, like the whole world needs to revolve around me and that I DESERVE peace and prosperity handed to me on a silver plate, then I don't need Sympathy. Sympathy would do me harm, as that would justify my position in feeling sorry for myself.

Sumeragi, for example, was drowning herself in alcohol in Billy's house. Billy offered Sympathy, but did nothing to help. Setsuna dragged her out of her own stupor and back to work, where she could have a chance to recover. Sure, she's now in a coma, but the sooner she sorted out her issues under medical supervision, the better.

though i agree, Louise could not be called a loli... she does not have the appearance of one, nor the age of one.

Design-wise, Soma fit as a loli but age-wise, neither Soma nor Feldt fit as a loli. I've just noticed that on AS as a whole, a lot of people call female characters--any female characters--loli, despite it not really fitting. And it just boggles my mind.

And I don't see why Feldt would've made Lockon a pedo. She merely had a crush on Lockon, I didn't see Lockon doing anything to pursue some kind of relationship with her.

It natural for a person to care about their own happiness. Saji understood the world didn't revolve around him and I think everyone would wish for peace and prosperity for themselves. Saji problem was his limit view of the world which is of course understandable. Only through this kind of experience can he learn about the views of Setsuna and others. If CB didn't give him sympathy they would of handed him off to Kataron instead of keeping him with them. Tieria understands because Tieria himself was a self-centered ass in S1 to start with.

The thing is that we should consider the situation that Saji, if we disregard his situation then yes we shouldn't be sympathetic towards him. Though I never said be sympathetic toward saij just try to understand him, still I guess those two words could be used interchangeably. Also Saji is sympathetic to others as he did feel remorse about his action in this episode. The only reason why he wasn't sympathetic before is because he never had first hand experience of suffering of others. Now he had first hand experience of the war he could now sympathize others more.

There's 2 anime characters that can rivalled my hatred toward Shinji (ie I hate them as much as I hate Shinji).. Gon from HxH and Relena B!tchcraft from GWing.

Any other chars just pale in comparison..
